What to Watch Next Week

Patty (Stacy Haiduk) isn’t as sane as she has been telling people for months. When her plan to make Jack (Peter Bergman) fall in love with her backfired, she stabbed him. Next week, she will continue her reign of terror. On Monday, things apparently go from bad to worse for Diane (Susan Walters) and Jack. Not sure how much worse things could get, considering Patty already stabbed Jack. Unfortunately, Diane finds out when Patty gets the upper hand while Jack’s life hangs in the balance.

There’s one bright spot for the Abbotts, however. Ashley (Eileen Davidson) returns, most likely to support her family during their time of need. The Abbotts aren’t the only ones about to have a terrible week. The Newmans always have to deal with high-stakes drama.

Victor (Eric Braeden) takes control (of course) and makes an unexpected decision about Nikki’s medical care. Later in the week, look for Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) to struggle with her new condition, which must mean she doesn’t have her eyesight back yet. And she will undoubtedly wonder when or if it will return.

Elsewhere, Lily (Christel Khalil) sees another side of Cane (Billy Flynn). The question is whether this side of Cane is good or bad. Also, look for Jill (Lauren Koslow, who says returning to Y&R feels like coming home) and Billy (Jason Thompson) to continue to hash things out. First, Billy will question his mother’s intentions, and then Jill will push her son into resolving their issues. Finally, Phyllis (who’s Soap Hub’s Performer of the Month for June) helps Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) start a new chapter. Is anybody else in town going to let him start that chapter?
