Both fandoms of The Young and the Restless and Days of our Lives know what an incredible actress Daytime Emmy-winner Eileen Davidson is and miss her being on their screens more regularly but she is filming a very special Christmas movie for 2020 — and now you can get a sneak peek of her look for it.
The talented actress shared a behind-the-scenes image with her Instagram followers recently that shows her gorgeous look for the holiday film — and you can see that post below.
She wrote alongside the picture, “Last scene of the first day. #therewillalwaysbechristmas” — and she most definitely has a different look to her than Ashley on YR or Kristen/Susan, etc. on DAYS.
The Plot Thickens
In the movie, she plays the character of Alana D’Angelo, who is the dean of a prestigious high school in a small town. She and her outgoing teenage daughter Samantha (played by Kennedy Tucker) plan a holiday concert to save the school.
The mother-daughter duo gets help from a new maintenance man, Army veteran Johnny (played by Michael Paré, known back in the day for Eddie and the Cruisers). But when her daughter’s life hangs in the balance after a car accident, Alana needs Johnny’s support even more while his quiet son Max makes a desperate decision that bonds their families together.
This will be an extra special experience for Davidson since her stepson, Duke Van Patten, also appears in the Christmas film. Rounding out the cast is Nancy Valen, who Ryan’s Hope fans may recall as Melinda on the now-defunct half-hour ABC soap, as well as Paul Fox, known for his stints on British soaps Coronation Street and Emmerdale, who portrays Mr. Phillips.
With a plot like that, expect to see plenty of opportunities for Davidson to strut her dramatic stuff in the way soap fans love to see.
