Soap Opera Veteran Michelle Stafford Gives Back For Christmas

Last week, Soap Hub reported that the Young and the Restless stars Michelle Stafford and Christian Le Blanc had teamed up to buy out the toy section at a local Big Lots and donate those toys to kids in need.

Now, Stafford, her co-stars, and her kids began distributing these toys via the local chapter of the NAACP and the actress shared what it meant to her on EXTRA Wednesday night.

“If you’re able to work, you better be giving back to other people. That’s how I see it,” Stafford said on EXTRA, as video of her in a sequinned pink mask and reindeer ears giving out toys appeared.

“It’s really amazing that we were able to do it and do it so quickly. I just thought it was really horrible for these little babies to wake up on Christmas morning and not have anything. Donations are down 50% this year,” she added. “So, I put an email out to the cast and crew at The Young and the Restless and called my friends at the NAACP and everyone donated. We have over 500 gifts.”

Stafford herself has two young kids who are getting into the holiday spirit. Natalia Scout is 11 years old and Jameson Jones is 5 years old, and mother and kids attempted a holiday card pic with a self-timer that just didn’t work out quite as planned. As Stafford put it on Instagram: “Our attempt at taking a Holiday Card Picture with the self-timer is as abysmal as the year itself… Good God… Make it stop. Merry Christmas and all that stuff.”

Yes, 2020 has been one heck of a year and we still have two weeks to go to see what other unexpected things might happen, but we still have family, holidays, and secret elves giving of themselves to close out 2020 right. You can see Stafford’s EXTRA appearance in the tweeted video below.
