First day of camp at her new school is giving Harps all kinds of feels. She asked me how I felt right before I went to a new school for the first time – we talked about feeling nervous, new teachers and making new friends. I could see her excitement was overpowering anything else. For real tho, I have all the feels too. 🌹♥️

Honestly, one of the skills I developed from being on @nbcdays was learning a script quickly. It allows me to jump into a project without having to obsess about lines. You can take something away from every job, and 19 years ( 😧) on that show gave me that advantage. Words cannot express how much we love our social worker, Norman! Case workers are the unsung heroes of #fostercare. He worked tirelessly on Kayden’s case day and night…and weekend. I think he might be more of a workaholic than I am. How he made us feel like we were his only #family when I am certain he had at least 50 cases is beyond me. Los Angeles may make up 10% of the kids in the US #fostersystem, but my gosh is their system doing the best they can and really leading by example. Other counties take note!! LA is overrun but getting it done! Now we just need more legit #resource families (the new term for #fosterparents) to sign up and give these precious kiddos a home. 💕💕
