The weekly teasers reveal that Matt (Roger Howarth) resurfaces in GC. Just a minute ago, he was dazed and confused in Las Vegas. And now he’s found his way to the Wisconsin town where most of his enemies live. The photos focus on Matt landing at the Genoa City Athletic Club, where he pulls up a seat at the bar. It looks like Matt strikes up a conversation with Cane (Billy Flynn). With Matt’s amnesia, how long before he runs into someone who recognizes him? Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) is staying at the club now that her marriage is in shambles. Matt better hope he doesn’t run into her.
Matt isn’t Cane’s sole GCAC interaction. He also chats with Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) as the two stand very close together. Phyllis looks calm, cool, and collected. Even as she deals with the legal mess Victor’s manufactured evidence has created. They both have that in common. On Tuesday, Phyllis was arrested. And in Wednesday’s episode, it’s Cane’s turn to get arrested. So maybe on Thursday, the two will exchange ideas on how they’ll get out of Victor’s trap.
Additionally, Cane manages to talk to Holden (Nathan Owens). And potentially, Holden’s new half-sister, Lily. According to the teasers, Cane makes a promise to Lily. It might have to do with not letting anything get in the way of his providing bone marrow to Malcolm (Shemar Moore).
While Matt sits at the bar after making his way to GC, Noah (Lucas Adams) and Sienna (Tamara Braun) are at home. Sienna is now unsure whether or not she actually finished the job and killed Matt in the Las Vegas desert. It’s causing her worry to intensify, which she may soon find out is a valid response. It’s just a matter of time before somebody sees that Matt is, in fact, alive.
