The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, May 7, bring Matt back to Genoa City yet again, which means Nick, Sharon, Noah, and Sienna aren’t safe.
Key Takeaways
- Matt returns to Genoa City.
- Cane promises Lily the future.
- Nick’s addiction concerns Phyllis.
Matt’s Return Puts Sharon and Noah Back in Danger
Sharon (Sharon Case) kept cross-examining Sienna (Tamara Braun) about how she attacked Matt (Roger Howarth) and why she feels certain that he’s really, most sincerely dead. Noah (Lucas Adams) backed up his girlfriend and promised to protect her, but Sharon has more experience with Matt’s tendency to come back from the dead.
And Sharon, of course, was right. Matt is still alive and nursing his injuries in Las Vegas. But not for long. He’s back in Wisconsin. Except he can’t quite seem to remember who he is. Which could be a problem. Or an advantage.
Cane Can’t Let Lily Go Despite What He Says
Cane (Billy Flynn) claims he’s over Lily (Christel Khalil). He claims he no longer wants her. Oh, and he’s not pleased that she plotted with Victor (Eric Braeden) to pretend he’d kidnapped her, Mattie, and Charlie. So Cane is done with Lily.
Except for the part where he can’t stop thinking about her. To the point where he volunteered to get tested to see if he’s a match for Malcolm’s (Shemar Moore) bone marrow transplant. What do you know? He is! He’s going to do it, too. And he promises Lily everything will be fine. It’s a soap. Nothing had better be fine! That’s not why we watch!
Nick Struggles to Balance Addiction, Family, and Phyllis’ Crisis
Nick (Joshua Morrow) not only has to worry about Matt, but he also has to deal with Victor’s lawsuit against Phyllis and try to beat his pain medication addiction. Dude has a lot on his plate.
Phyllis can help him with that. He should ignore his father, Sharon, and his children to focus solely on helping her beat the rap. Nick knows Victor framed Phyllis. He really should help a baby mama out.
