Ashley has returned to The Young and the Restless — sort of. She still keeps her office in Paris, but she promised to be around more now that she and Jack (Peter Bergman) have agreed to merge their two companies — meaning Ashley’s (Eileen Davidson) patents are back home where they belong.
But is John’s “beauty” playing her cards close to the vest? Is this just step one to her returning as CEO of Jabot? What almost 23,000 viewers are expecting:
The Long Game
She wouldn’t be Ashley if that wasn’t uppermost in her mind, 63% of you assert. Ashley still has a lot to prove, and running Jabot is right at the top of that list. She and Jack may have made up as siblings, but they are still fierce competitors.
Ashley thinks she can do a better job. After all, she’s an actual chemist — Jack only knows how to wheel and deal. Now that they’re back on equal footing, it’s time for Ashley to, once again, prove, who is just a little bit more equal. The question is, will she go the straightforward route… or more backhanded scheming?
Clean Hands, Warm Hearts
A much smaller 37% believe Ashley will remain content just developing new product lines, without having the final word in how they’re packaged, promoted, and sold. She’s a scientist at heart and should be happy hanging out at the lab, while Jack wheels and deals.
Plus, she kind of owes it to her brother after the stunt she pulled. Ashley will let Jack be top dog… until he does something to piss her off, and then it’s back into the trenches.
This is a loop both are trapped in but, at the moment, Ashley will be good. After all, Jack has a tendency to be his own worst enemy. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
