Tessa, as played by Cate Fairbanks, arrived on The Young and the Restless (YR) with a major splash. She sings! She teaches music! She moves in with Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and appears to have some sort of agenda!

She dates Noah (Robert Adamson)! We spend months being forced to care about her missing sister! She sings some more!

She kisses Mariah (Camryn Grimes)! She doesn’t reciprocate Mariah’s feelings! She steals Mariah’s song! She’s demoted! She… kind of disappears. And then, reappears.

Is she still on the show, 55% of you sigh? You’d been hoping out of sight was definitely out of mind. You never got her point. The secret agenda vis-a-vis the Newmans plot point was dropped.

The story with her sister was dud and ended with the oft-discussed Crystal leaving town. The romance with Noah fizzled. The romance with Mariah never got started. And now she just appears periodically to snipe at Summer (Hunter King) or Kyle (Michael Mealor). Hard to be a fan of a character without a purpose.

We want to learn more, 45% cheer. Tessa has so much potential! Are we sure she and Mariah are done? Maybe she turned her down too quickly.

What about a return for Noah? A romance with Kyle? How about with Nate (Brooks Darnell)? And what was she suggesting initially about having a bone to pick with the Newmans?
