On The Young and the Restless, Sienna watched Matt save Nick’s life. He went into hero mode as he injected Naproxen into Nick’s arm. In that moment, Sienna saw a different side of Matt, and that could become a problem for Noah.

Key Takeaways

  • Matt has struggled with amnesia.
  • Matt saved Nick’s life from a near-fatal overdose.
  • The Newmans had no idea of how to approach Matt; they want him gone for good.
  • Sienna was the only one who stayed and was genuinely concerned about Matt’s well-being.

The Sudden Shift in Sienna’s Demeanor

Matt (Roger Howarth) finds himself alone in Genoa City. He has no idea who he is or what he was in his previous life. He just wants to get along with everyone. But the problem is that no one wants him around. Matt realized that no one was on his side.

Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) was only using him for her personal gain. Meanwhile, Patty (Stacy Haiduk) wanted nothing to do with him. Matt wanted to prove to everyone that he’s not the monster they claim he is.

He wanted to distance himself from the man they associated him with. Finally, Matt had the opportunity to make it happen. During a tense conversation with the Newmans, Nick (Joshua Morrow) fell into a near-fatal drug overdose.

This was Matt’s moment to save someone’s life and make himself the hero for once. No one knew what to do at that moment. Matt is usually ending someone’s life, not the other way around. Sienna was the only one who saw him differently.

What This Could Mean for Noah

Sienna’s shift in perception could drive a wedge between her and Noah (Lucas Adams). While everyone else wants Matt gone, Sienna checked in on him after the incident. Noah looked at her like he didn’t want to believe she’d once had feelings for Matt.

Sienna was the only one who treated Matt with some dignity and respect. After all, he went out of his way to save Nick’s life. He could’ve ignored Nick’s crisis, but he didn’t. She asked Matt how he even knew how to help Nick, and wondered who he was.

Meanwhile, Noah didn’t appreciate Sienna sticking around. She wanted to talk to Matt, but he was immediately escorted by Victor’s (Eric Braeden) henchmen. Seeing Matt in this light intrigues her, given all the horrible things he did to the Newmans.

Seeing Matt in this way could cause Noah to get closer to Audra (Zuleyka Silver). They share a history, much like Matt and Sienna still do. Even if he’s claimed that he’s really changed, then Sienna could eventually lower her guard. Do you think Sienna still has feelings for Matt?
