Should Victor and Nikki Fall In Love Again On The Young and the Restless?

Victor and Nikki have married and divorced each other quite a few times on The Young and the Restless. Their most recent vow renewal was to convince everyone they were getting along just fine — even though that’s not necessarily the case.

Soap Hub asked Y&R fans if they want the ex-stripper and the orphan-turned-mustached-mogul to fall in love again. Read on for the results.

Please, Don’t Let This Feeling End
Nearly 80% of you voted, yes, you want Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) to fall in love again. It’s usually Victor’s controlling ways that cause Nikki to become estranged from her husband.

And, as we’ve seen in the past, time will pass and then Nikki succumbs to Victor’s charms. This time, they’ve claimed to have renewed their commitment to placate others. But maybe the joke’s on them and they still deeply love one another?

Future Tense
The rest of you, a little over 20%, feel that Nikki and Victor should not fall in love again.

This uneasy alliance they have now for public consumption may be the ideal relationship. It could be what works best for them.

Nikki knows that Victor will never really change and she can accept that. Victor is amused by Nikki’s impulsiveness and her actions will ensure that their marriage will never be dull.

Outside Forces
Victor and Nikki have both taken up with others during the times that they’ve been apart. She wed Jack (Peter Bergman) and Joshua (Heath Kizzier) and almost exchanged vows with Brad Carlton (Don Diamont; now Bill on The Bold and the Beautiful).

Victor wed Ashley (both Brenda Epperson and Eileen Davidson), Hope (Signy Coleman), and Sabrina (Raya Meddine). So either of them finding love with someone else is quite possible. That would certainly end their “appearances only” marriage!
