Gloria is back on The Young and the Restless, and her first order of business is to get a job. After all, Kevin (Greg Rikaart) and Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) might be giving her free room and board, but a Gloria (Judith Chapman) doesn’t live on bread – and wine – alone. Especially now that Kevin won’t let her blackmail the Newmans. Party pooper.
The Young and the Restless Polling
Her first stop was Jack (Peter Bergman). Surely, he’d like her back at Jabot, wouldn’t he? No, he would not. Her next step was Lauren (Tracey Bregman). Surely, she’d like her back at Fenmore’s, wouldn’t she? No, she would not.
However, unlike Jack, Lauren is still family. And Gloria intends to wear her down eventually. Should Lauren give her mother-in-law a position? How over 2,000 Stay-at-Home Human Resources Managers feel about it:
Condition Red
A generous almost half of you, 47%, are open to Lauren throwing Gloria a bone… as long as there are conditions. Such as no stealing money. No killing people. You know, all the standard employment contract stuff. Which Gloria has violated in the past.
Here Come Trouble
A slightly smaller 40%, on the other hand, are shouting an adamant “No!” Gloria is trouble with a capital T and that rhymes with P and that stands for Punishment. Gloria has never been punished for all the horrible professional (we’re not even including personal) things she’s done in the past. She shouldn’t be rewarded with a second chance, either.
Family First
A last-place 13% of the audience is willing to give her another shot. Family is family, after all. Lauren better take a tax write off for the problems Gloria causes at work, then deal with the turmoil she might bring home. Even Michael (Christian J. Le Blanc) seems to agree that it’s better to have his mom where they can keep an eye on her. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
