On the Young and the Restless, Devon Hamilton finally admitted to Amanda Sinclair that he’d gotten more attached to baby Dominic than he ever intended to. It was one thing when Devon was just the biological father, and Chance Chancellor was going to play Daddy.
A Young and the Restless Baby
But when Chance (Conner Floyd) was presumed dead and Abby Newman-Abbott Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) dumped the tot on Devon (Bryton James) while she went globe-hopping to find him, Devon allowed himself to think of himself as Dominic’s full-time Daddy. When Abby and Chance returned to reclaim their son, he was left feeling bereft. Is the solution for him and Amanda (Mishael Morgan) to have a child of their own? How Y&R fans voted:
No Backsies
A baby is a fine idea, 42% assert – but then caution…only if Devon and Amanda commit to each other. This can’t be another one of those casual setups. Remember when Devon said he would father Hilary’s (also Mishael Morgan) baby – with no strings attached?
Yeah, that didn’t work out. Remember when he agreed to help Abby and Chance have a baby…with no strings attached? Samesies. If he and Amanda decide to do this, they should be in it for the long haul.
Too Soon on The Young and the Restless
An almost equal 41%, on the other hand, think it’s a terrible idea. Devon and Amanda haven’t known each other long enough, and you should never have one baby to replace another. Having another child would just make Devon think even more about the son he’s missing.
Next Up
Yeah, go for it, 17% cheer. A new baby will make Devon forget Dominic as if he never existed. Babies are interchangeable on soaps (as are parents, judging by how poor Harrison Locke [Kellen Enriquez] has been bounced around). Out with the old, in with the new. Feelings aren’t a thing!
