Shemar Moore has never turned his back on The Young and the Restless! The star of the CBS primetime drama S.W.A.T. often credits the show for establishing his career, and he’s still pals with many of his former co-stars, including TV brother Kristoff St. John (Neil).
Recently, Moore took to Instagram to not only congratulate Y&R on its recent milestone of becoming the top-rated daytime drama for 30 years, but he playfully told St. John to consider getting a new hairstyle!
These days, Moore is sporting a more clean-shaven look (to say the least!), not surprisingly as he plays S.W.A.T. officer Daniel ‘Hondo’ Harrelson.
Now, the Emmy-winning actor is playfully teasing St. John about having the same look he had as a child star.
“It’s your baby brother, Malcolm Winters,” said Moore, who also reminded St. John that Malcolm, not Neil, is the biological father of Dru’s (Victoria Rowell) daughter Lily (Christel Khalil).
“It is 2019,” Moore added. “This ‘1970 afro thing’ you are rocking to this day, you’ve got to stop, man. It worked for you when you were 2 years old in the [mini-series] Roots [the Next Generation]!”
Moore then suggested that St. John take himself to a well-known chain of hair-cutting salons and update his look!
Will St. John do that or respond to Moore’s post? We’ll keep an eye on the actor’s social media account to see if he responds to this challenge!
The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
