Ever since former General Hospital and Mistresses star Jason Gerhardt posted a photo of himself auditioning at CBS Studios for what appeared to be The Young and the Restless (YR), fans have been speculating that Gerhardt will be the new Adam.
But. would you accept such a recast? A whooping 14,000 of you had something to say on the subject!
Being Alive
Adam’s dad, Victor (Eric Braeden) has come back from the dead, and so has his brother, Nick (Joshua Morrow).
Adam himself has done it once, so why not again, agree 50% of you. You are convinced the Newman scion is alive and well and hiding out somewhere, plotting his next move – just like his daddy would do.
But, does that mean he knows about Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Nick? And, if so, is he plotting against them? Or plotting how to get Chlesea back for himself? And, what does that mean for baby Christian’s future?
Read My Lips: No New Adams
A concurring 38% of fans would like to see Adam back, no question, but they want to see Justin Hartley in the role.
He’s the Adam that made them fall in love with Adam and Chelsea. He’s Connor’s (and Christian’s) real father, and you’ll accept no substitutions. Gerhardt can stay in primetime, where he belongs.
See Doornail, Dead As
Jason Gerhardt or Justin Hartley, 12% of the audience believes Adam is dead – and wants him to stay dead.
His story has run its course, and it’s much more interesting to see what will happen once everyone in Genoa City knows that Victor played a part in getting his son killed.
Why let The Mustache off the hook? Plus, there’s still Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) to bring to justice, and Chelsea to get revenge on her former BFF. Having Adam still alive would take the fun out of all those stories.
