Second Chance: When Should He Return To The Young and the Restless?
 Comments

Abby Newman Chancellor is convinced that her husband isn’t truly dead on The Young and the Restless. The fans are pretty sure of it, too. Especially since he’s just been recast with actor Connor Floyd.

The Young and the Restless Polling

So when should the new Phillip Chancellor IV make his shocking reappearance? We’ve got the viewers’ take on the best possible moment.

Giving Thanks

Thanksgiving is coming up, 62% point out. And it’s not shaping up to be a very happy one for Abby (Melissa Ordway) or Nina (Tricia Cast), not to mention Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) and other family members. Chance could cheer them all up by coming back from the dead. And nip this not-particularly-popular story in the bud.

The Young and the Restless: Lost Boy

Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) is making noises about taking Dominic away from Abby, as is Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes). If she insists on taking off for Spain – or if she follows in her mother, Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson), footsteps and suffers a mental breakdown – Abby could lose custody of her little boy. If that happens, it would be a great time for Chance to come home and support his wife, say 23%.

Joy to the World

Christmas is a time of miracles and wonder, right, 11% of the audience prompts. It’s Jesus’ birthday. And he’s kind of internationally famous for coming back from the dead. Chance could take a lesson. And, just like with Thanksgiving, he could make his family’s holiday a much happier one on The Young and the Restless.

In With the New

Only 4% are willing to wait until New Year’s Eve or Day for a new Chance. You understand the poetic symmetry of it, but you just cannot bear the thought of two more months of Abby sobbing, her family fretting, and the hunk of bread she’s got wrapped in a blanket crying. Chance coming home would fix all of those problems. After all, wouldn’t Abby want to introduce him to his son… not a stick of sausage?
