It’s official! Sally Sussman Morina is the new head writer for The Young and the Restless! The news comes just days after controversial executive producer/head writer Charles Pratt Jr. confirmed he was exiting his CBS post.
Back to a Better Time!
The Emmy-winning writer is familiar with much of the long-standing cast. She was an associate writer during the days when the Bell family ruled daytime television. Her writing history with Y&R dates back to the early 80’s all the way through to 2006. Her work as a daytime scribe was also seen on “Generations,” “As the World Turns,” and “Days of Our Lives.”
According to soaps.sheknows.com, there’s no word if she will be bringing in a new writing team. Some fans are hopeful the drama will heat up now under her new regime.
Y&R airs weekdays on CBS. Share your thoughts, leave a comment in the section below. Additionally, for more The Young and the Restless spoilers updates, recaps, and news, go to Soap Hub’s Facebook fanpage and join the conversation about all your favorite soaps!
