On The Young and the Restless, Jack’s – and our – long, national nightmare is finally over.

Jack (Peter Bergman) is John Abbott’s son, after all. Which would explain why Dina (Marla Adams) kept confusing the two.

But the reason why Jack spent the last few months flitting from Daddy candidate to Daddy candidate – I’m a Chancellor! I’m a Fenmore! I’m a Newman! – was because Ashley (Eileen Davidson) doctored a DNA test to make it look like he wasn’t an Abbott. Just like her.

Last week, the truth finally came out. This week, Ashley explained to Jack why she did it. It was pretty much what viewers expected. But are you sympathetic to her reasoning? Here’s what over 6,000 had to say.

There is no justification for what Ashley did, 66% of you stand firm. She hurt her brother in a way that can never be fixed – or forgiven. The Abbott siblings had a routine: Jack schemed and lied and hurt people, and everyone else just shook their head and said, “Oh, that’s our Jack.”

Ashley trod the straight and narrow and turned the other cheek, no matter what. Billy (Jason Thompson) mainly screwed up, while Traci (Beth Maitland)…wrote books and smiled pleasantly.

But now that Ashley has taken a page from Jack’s book of dirty tricks, you don’t believe she deserves to be forgiven. Stay in your lane, Ash!
