Adam has returned with a vengeance to The Young and the Restless. After going missing for years, he’s suddenly on every day, pissing off Victor (Eric Braeden), sparring with Victoria (Amelia Heinle), suing Nick (Joshua Morrow), kidnapping Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson), blackmailing Kevin (Greg Rikaart), and teaming up with Phyllis (Michelle Stafford).
He’s also been subtly trying to seduce Sharon (Sharon Case). Mostly by telling her how sad he is over losing Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Connor. And now, she’s back! Should Adam reunite with his lost love? Over 7,000 viewers played Cupid:
Over and Done
Chelsea and Adam are over, a bare majority of 52% have decided. She’s moved on and made it clear she doesn’t want anything to do with Adam. As for Adam, he seems to have only one setting these days: Cranky.
He’s cranky about Victor wanting him to take over Newman Enterprises, he’s cranky over Victoria not wanting him to take over Newman Enterprises. He’s cranky that Nick wants what’s best for Christian, and he’s cranky that Phyllis only wants what’s best for herself — and is happy to use Adam to get it.
Who would want to build a life with such a sourpuss? Who’d want their kid raised by him? Chelsea is doing the right thing, keeping her distance.
Take a Second Chance
An only slightly smaller number, 48%, on the other hand, are rooting for a reunion. The couple was pretty popular on their last go-around when Adam was played by Justin Hartley (now on This Is Us), and you want to see what kind of chemistry Mark Grossman and Egan might generate.
Plus, getting Chelsea and Connor back might pull Adam away from Nick and Christian, which would be a double-win. Not to mention, two schemers are better than one…and Chelsea is a schemer! Don’t let her happy homemaker veneer fool you.
