The Y&R spoilers recap for Thursday, May 26, 2022, brings a major freakout from Phyllis Summers, and Kyle Abbott, Summer Newman Abbott, and Jack Abbott will deal with the fallout. However, Diane Jenkins got just what she wanted.
Y&R Spoilers Recap Highlights
After yet another failed attempt to see his son, Jack (Peter Bergman) suggested that Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) needed to get a court order to see Harrison (Kellen Enriquez).
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), fresh off of issuing a warning to Diane (Susan Walters), met Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Summer (Allison Lanier) for a meal at Society. When Kyle stepped away, Victor and his granddaughter spoke about Diane. Obviously, Summer already learned all she needed about Kyle’s abandoning mother.
Victor left, and when Kyle returned, he mentioned to Summer that Jabot seemed liquid enough to talk about buying the fashion company. Then, the couple discussed Diane, and Kyle said he’d make a choice about his mom soon. After all, he only has one mother.
Young and the Restless: Freak Out!
Ashland showed up at The Grand Phoenix, and of course, Diane was there. They talked, and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) walked in and had plenty of snarky things about the two liars bonding. Later, Diane was checking out, and Kyle showed up. He informed Diane that he wanted her to stay in Genoa City.
Kyle offered to put Diane up at the Athletic Club (it still exists!), and after a brief talk, she accepted. Then Kyle went and told Summer what he’d decided. He even noted that he wanted to ensure his mother had no big financial worries, so she wouldn’t be desperate.
As for Phyllis, she’d overheard Kyle ask his mom to stay, and she ran straight to Jack’s in a panic about Diane staying in Genoa City. She totally unraveled, and then she talked about her and Jack’s relationship. She admitted that she was worried that Diane would ruin what they had, and Jack swore he wouldn’t let that happen.
Y&R Spoilers Recap: Cloud 9
Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) ran into Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) at the coffee shop, and he complimented the podcaster on his latest offering. That seemed to put Billy on Cloud 9.

At Chancellor Park, Abby Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) enjoyed some time with Dominic. They teased back and forth about parenting things. Chance showed up, and Devon left to go to Crimson Lights.
Abby and Chance both enjoyed some moments with their son, and she made a comment about Dominic inheriting something from Devon, which was slightly awkward, but Chance brushed it off. Then, he noted that he had some work to make up since Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) died.
Y&R: How Could You?
At Crimson Lights, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) waited for Devon for the meeting. Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) walked in with some pointed comments about Nate. Then, Devon came in, and he was offended about one of Nate’s ideas on music, leaving his cousin a bit down in the dumps.
Imani wasted no time and sat down with the man she’s set her sights on after Lily and Devon left. They talked about the awkwardness between Nate and Devon and Imani and Amanda (Mishael Morgan).
Back home, Lily confronted Billy about talking through his concerns about being part of a family business. She called him out for not being open and honest with her and instead telling the whole world. Lily wanted Billy to talk to her about his true feelings. He promised Lily he’d do better.
