The Y&R spoilers recap for Thursday, July 14, 2022, brings a surprising breakup between Adam Newman and Sally Spectra — only he told Victoria Newman instead of his girlfriend. Plus, Ashland Locke asked Victoria and Victor Newman for a favor, and they said what you’d expect, Noah Newman asked out Allie Nguyen, and Sharon Rosales worried about her son.
Y&R Spoilers Recap Highlights
Well, it’s not daytime unless there are plenty of breakups and makeups. However, Adam’s (Mark Grossman) breakup with Sally (Courtney Hope) is as strange as it gets. After enjoying some adult time with Sally, Adam snuck out of bed and went to see his sister Victoria (Amelia Heinle) to beg for Sally’s job. Ultimately, he told Victoria he and Sally had broken up…say what?
Whether Victoria buys it remains to be seen, but what will Sally do? Is her position as CEO of Newman Media more important than Adam? He sure seems to think so.
Young and the Restless: A Favor Denied
Before her youngest brother’s odd visit, Victoria also received Ashland (Robert Newman) at her office unexpectedly. Victor (Eric Braeden) was there, and Ashland asked if they’d help him see Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) one more time. Both Victor and Victoria declined, telling Ashland he had no power. Then, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) walked in and looked concerned.
Ashland left and went back to his hotel room. He looked through the things he’d picked up from Victoria and cried when he found the special ring she gave him. Then, he lost it and destroyed his hotel room rock ‘n roll style.
As for Nick, he and Victor went to Society, and they worried a bit about Ashland and how he pertained to Victoria’s safety.

Y&R Spoilers Recap: New Hope
Allie (Kelsey Wang) was on Cloud 9 after her first day at Jabot. She and Noah (Rory Gibson) met up at Crimson Lights, and she talked to him about his leaving New Hope. He confirmed that he planned to do that, and then he asked her to dinner…like on a real date. Allie said yes.
Back at the Abbott mansion, Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) wanted to know all about Allie’s first day. However, she was giddy about her date, and Traci seemed to appreciate her niece’s happiness. Noah arrived, and she sent them off happily.
Y&R: It’s A Date
Before Noah left to get Allie for their date, Sharon (Sharon Case) talked to him. She’d overheard him say he planned to leave New Hope, so of course, she was concerned. Noah reassured his mom. Later, Traci came in, and Sharon relayed her worries to Traci too.
At Society, Allie and Noah ran into Nick and Victor. Victor promised not to hold her status as Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) granddaughter against Allie, and then Nick announced that Noah planned to take on a leadership role at New Nope, which Victor liked hearing. Of course, Noah didn’t speak up just yet about his plans to leave the charity. Later, Allie asked him about it, but he wanted to focus on their date.
