The Young and the Restless recap for Wednesday, September 27, 2023, brings Lily and Devon putting the pieces together of the Chancellor-Winters mystery investor puzzle.

Plus, Victoria tried to get Nick to help her with their father. Victor gave Nate and Adam a big surprise by making Adam Nate’s assistant. Mamie visited with Jack and Traci, and later, she asked Nate for his help covering up her identity as the Chancellor-Winters mystery investor — but she was too late. Now let’s dig deeper into what went down.
Young and the Restless: Mental Decline
Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) met at Society. She asked her brother for his help in keeping Victor from making a mistake. She worried about their father’s decision-making, but Nick didn’t want to get involved.
Victoria insisted that their dad was experiencing mental decline, and Nick conceded that Victor was acting slightly out of character. Even so, he wasn’t planning to get involved. Nick offended his sister by suggesting the whole thing was merely a ploy to regain her job. Victoria insisted Nikki agreed with her, and Nick told her to let their mom handle it then.

Adam (Mark Grossman) arrived at Newman and asked Victor (Eric Braeden) about his new role at the company. Nate (Sean Dominic) showed up, and Victor announced Adam would be Nate’s new assistant. Neither man was happy. Adam pointed out that Nate hadn’t even been in business very long, but Victor told his son it was a test.
Victor left, and Nate and Adam discussed the situation. Adam vowed to stick with the job to prove Victor wrong. Nate got a call from Devon and left. Adam looked at Victor’s portrait and wondered aloud if his dad was pushing him to the point of breaking.
Adam saw Victoria and Nick at Society, and he updated them on his new job as Nate’s gopher. Victoria was rude, noting that the whole thing was unfair to Nate. Nick and Adam argued, and Nick warned his brother not to hurt their dad or sister or he’d answer to him.
Young and the Restless Recap: Puzzle Pieces
Lily (Christel Khalil) and Devon (Bryton James) met at his place. They worried about the new investor revealing his or herself soon. The siblings agreed to stick together no matter what ended up happening. Ultimately, Lily found out that the money came from Detroit’s LBB Financial, which she thought sounded like her grandmother.

Mamie (Veronica Redd), Traci (Beth Maitland), and Jack (Peter Bergman) talked, and she let them know she had a pressing matter bringing her to Genoa City. They updated her on the potential demise of Ashley and Tucker’s marriage, and she played coy about her other reasons for showing up in town. She merely noted she would stay at the GCAC while she settled a few debts.
After Mamie left, Jack and Traci noted that she seemed like she did back in the days when she sparred with Jill. They seemed concerned that she might be trying to settle a score.
Y&R Recap: The Truth
Devon and Nate met at the GCAC. Nate told his cousin that Aunt Mamie had an investment firm named LBB, but he wouldn’t tell him anymore. As Devon left, Nate accused him of only reaching out when he needed something.
Later, Nate bumped into Mamie. He wanted to know what his aunt was up to, and they went upstairs to her room to talk. Mamie admitted that she was the Chancellor-Winters mystery investor, and Nate assumed she was trying to settle a score with Jill, which made Mamie flashback to an argument. Mamie admitted she was looking forward to seeing Jill’s head explode when she found out.
Mamie asked her nephew to help put Lily and Devon off her plans, but Nate warned her that they were already piecing the whole thing together.
Meanwhile, Devon updated Lily about Mamie owning LLB. They strategized about how to diffuse the situation. Lily declared they had to discover Mamie’s motives before revealing the information.
