The Young and the Restless recap (YR) for Wednesday, July 4 features celebrations of all kinds, as Billy and Phyllis tried to go all out for his birthday, Esther warned Cane about Jack’s plans, Arturo and Abby became co-dependent, and Hilary felt free to continue being nasty to people.
My 4th, My Way
The mayor of Genoa City canceled his appearance on Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) show, but has anyone NOT cancelled on her lately?
Maybe she’s not as hot as she thinks, and as she told Nate (Brooks Darnell), she is. Either way, Hilary dragged random people in front of the camera to talk about what freedom means to them.
Meanwhile, Hilary continued to berate her assistants, Shauna (Camryn Hamm) and Tessa (Cait Faribanks). Hilary attempted to apologize later, but Tessa is distracted by disturbing texts. Shauna fell for it, though, and told Hilary how great she is. This made Hilary happy.
Tessa then sang The Start Spangled Banner.
Esther (Kate Linder) told Cane (Daniel Goddard) that Jack (Peter Bergman) digging up Phillip’s body would make Katherine spin in her own grave.
Cane put on his battle face and prepared to defend the Chancellor family’s honor.
Stuck In the Middle With You
When Arturo (Jason Canelo) turned off electricity at Jabot so his men can get some work done on a tight deadline, Billy (Jason Thompson) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) ended up trapped in their favorite spot – the elevator!
Naturally, they felt compelled to have sex in order to celebrate both Billy’s and America’s birthday.
The pair were caught by Arturo and his workmen.
Abby (Melissa Ordway) dropped by with a romantic picnic, but Arturo was busy. He promised to meet up with her afterwards. He did, and they had sex. On a bed in his apartment, like normal people.
The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
