The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Friday, November 3, finds Billy buried under smoldering, shaky rubble, and the Abbots, Newmans, and Ashbys haggling about it outside.

Forgive
The Underground blew up and Billy (Jason Thompson) — who didn’t get out when he should have — was buried in the rubble. Nick (Joshua Morrow), Victor (Eric Braeden), Victoria (Amelia Heinle), Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), and Jack (Peter Bergman) rushed to the scene.

Nick and Victor took advantage of the opportunity to get some more yelling in. Jack also took advantage to play big, strong hero man, and insisted on going in to get a trapped Billy, even when the fire chief told him the whole place could come down at any moment.

No! Jack will do it! The fire chief let him because sure, why not, no way that could go wrong and then he’ll have to risk even more men for the rescue effort.

Jack found Billy and assured him he forgave him for everything — the way John once forgave Jack for everything (including Jack sleeping with John’s wife, so, yeah, the situations are similar). Billy also admitted the poisoned face mask was his fault, despite all the yelling and stomping and posturing.

Forget
Billy makes it out alive, and Phyllis was happy to see him–although she told him this doesn’t change anything — he’s still a jerk. Victoria was happy to see Billy, too, and truly grateful that he saved Reed’s (Tristan Lake LeaBu) life. Then, Vicky slapped him across the face and told him he’s fired. She knew he was behind the face mask debacle.

Victoria can do that now, since she’s accepted Victor’s offer to let him buy Brash & Sassy and go back to working for Newman.

Move On
Lily (Christel Khalil) told Cane (Daniel Goddard) he was right, Reed is a bad influence on Mattie (Lexie Stevenson). But Lily is still filing for divorce, anyway.
