This Tuesday, June 10, The Young and the Restless delved into Mariah and Tessa’s growing turmoil, Kyle’s secret deal with Victor, sparking tension, Phyllis’ continuing schemes, and Holden and Damian’s friendship reaching a breaking point.
Kyle’s Deal with Victor
At the Abbott estate, Jack (Peter Bergman) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) discussed work. Kyle prepared to handle things while his father was away in Europe.
Their conversation shifted to the Dumas meeting, and Jack asked Kyle about his deal with Victor (Eric Braeden). Before Kyle could elaborate, Claire (Hayley Erin) called, updating them on Cole’s (J. Eddie Peck) transfer to a specialist in Chicago.
Kyle reassured his father that everything was under control, but Jack and Diane (Susan Walters) weren’t convinced. Diane worried that Victor might be using Cole’s illness to manipulate Claire, but Kyle insisted that they wouldn’t make the same mistakes again.
Diane’s Growing Confidence
Diane and Jack continued their conversation, discussing the upcoming event in France. Diane was eager to attend, seeing it as an opportunity to assert her power.
Jack admired her confidence, calling her dazzling. They both looked forward to the event, feeling excited about the prestige that came with being invited. Diane was ready to handle whatever the event would bring.
Victor and Audra’s Scheming
At the GCAC, Audra (Zuleyka Silver) joined Victor to discuss the progress she’d made with Vibrante. Victor made it clear that she wouldn’t get more money until she made progress with Kyle.
Audra was eager to secure an invitation to the Dumas event. She felt it would help her gain leverage with Kyle. Victor agreed to the invite and urged her to focus on convincing Kyle to join her in France.
As they spoke, Holden (Nathan Owens) overheard the conversation, and after Audra left, he confronted her about her connection with Victor. Holden warned her that she was caught in a dangerous situation and may end up in the middle of a feud between Victor and Kyle. Audra denied it, but Holden wasn’t convinced.
Tessa and Mariah’s Strained Relationship
Meanwhile, in the park, Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) begged Mariah (Camryn Grimes) to open up about her pain. Mariah admitted to feeling broken and overwhelmed by guilt, especially after the events with Ian (Ray Wise).
Mariah explained that she couldn’t shake the memories of everything that had happened, which only made her feel worse. Tessa urged Mariah to share more, but Mariah hesitated. She said there was nothing safe about what she had done. Tessa reassured her that she was safe with her and encouraged her to take the first step in opening up.
Holden and Damian’s Falling Out
At Crimson Lights, Damian (Jermaine Rivers) gave Lily (Christel Khalil) a thoughtful gift. It was a signed edition of a book about jazz, one that had once belonged to Neil (Kristoff St. John).
Lily was deeply touched, as the book had special meaning to her. However, their conversation soon shifted to Holden. Holden felt betrayed. Damian explained that Holden no longer wanted to work with him. He felt like their friendship had been damaged by power dynamics at work.
When Holden arrived, he confronted Damian about getting him fired and accused him of abandoning their friendship. The men argued bitterly, and Holden told Damian he had lost everything.
Damian tried to fix things, but Holden walked away, leaving their friendship in tatters. Lily urged Damian to give Holden some time, but Damian admitted that Holden’s words had stung. He realized he might have lost his best friend for good.
Tessa Urges Mariah to Open Up
Tessa continued to fight for Mariah’s trust, encouraging her to face the pain and share what she had been holding inside. Mariah acknowledged her guilt but wasn’t sure how to move forward.
Tessa’s patience and understanding seemed to be the only thing keeping them connected.
