In the June 25 episode of The Young and the Restless, Adam’s growing concerns about Dumas’ intentions escalated, while Cane’s continued pursuit of Chancellor set the stage for further conflict with Lily. Amanda confronted Cane about his role in the mystery, and Phyllis saw an opportunity to pitch her help.

Adam’s Growing Worry

Adam (Mark Grossman) tried to reach Victor (Eric Braeden) and other family members, but got no response.

At Society, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) joined him and noticed his anxiety. Adam revealed that he had been tracking Dumas’ movements in Genoa City. He suspected the business mogul was buying up commercial properties for something much bigger than just business.

As Adam pondered what Dumas could be planning, Chelsea tried to distract him with talk of Connor (Judah Mackey) and a party for the 4th of July. Still, Adam couldn’t shake his worry, especially as he speculated that Dumas was preparing to make a move against the Newmans and Abbotts.

Cane Faces the Consequences of His Actions

Meanwhile, Cane (Billy Flynn) found himself confronting his past and the fallout from his secret identity as Dumas. He met with Victor, who rejected his proposal for Chancellor and expressed doubts about Cane’s sincerity.

Cane reminded Victor of his past successes and tried to push for control of Chancellor, but Victor made it clear that Cane’s reputation would make it impossible for him to gain the trust needed to lead the company. Cane’s determination didn’t falter, though, and he continued to argue that he could offer something more valuable to Victor’s empire.

Lily and Cane’s Confrontation

Later, Cane tried to explain himself to Lily (Christel Khalil), who was still reeling from the revelation that he was Dumas. Lily was furious, feeling betrayed by his lies and manipulation. She refused to entertain his justifications, unable to comprehend why Cane had hidden the truth from her for so long.

Cane promised that he would explain everything in time, but Lily wasn’t ready to hear it.

Amanda Catches Up With Cane

Meanwhile, Amanda (Mishael Morgan) found Cane alone. Cane opened up about his failed attempt to secure Victor’s support, but Amanda could see that he was still planning something.

Amanda reminded him that Lily was going to have a hard time understanding his actions and warned him not to underestimate Victor. Cane reassured Amanda that his plan wasn’t over and that he had a few cards left to play.

Phyllis Tries to Make Her Move

Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) interrupted Cane and Amanda’s conversation. She asked for a few minutes of Cane’s time, offering her services in exchange for a place in his plans. Cane hesitated but agreed to hear her out.

Phyllis pitched herself as a key player in his bid for Chancellor, but Cane wasn’t convinced. She continued to press, claiming that she could help him navigate the challenges ahead. Cane remained skeptical but promised to think it over.
