Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) gives Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) an ultimatum: work for Victoria Newman Locke (Amelia Heinle) or resign as CEO of Newman Media. Adam stuns Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) with the news that Newman/Locke has acquired the company. Sally urges Adam to remain in his current position.
Abby Carlton Newman Abbott Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) is aghast over Chance Chancellor’s (Conner Floyd) desire to return to the police force. Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) worries that Chance isn’t mentally fit for active duty…Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) offers Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) a corporate job. Victoria isn’t pleased at Ashland’s initiative.
Young and Restless Recaps: Tuesday, February 1
Victoria tells Chelsea and Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) that she’s shuttering Newman Fashions. The duo decides to strike out on their own – without Sally. Chelsea is all too happy to deliver the news to the flummoxed designer.
Nate and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) discuss his career options. He decides to remain at Memorial Hospital…Nicholas Newman (Joshua Morrow) blanches when Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) ponders joining the business world.

Adam informs Victoria that he’d be delighted to stay on as head of Newman Media…Victoria agrees that Ashland should be given more autonomy where the company is concerned…Victor worries that Ashland is overstepping his bounds. Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) tells Victor that the legitimacy of the Peruvian clinic hosting the trial that Ashland is supposedly enrolled in is questionable.

With much trepidation, Abby signs the document giving Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) joint custody of Dominic…Tess Porter (Cait Fairbanks) confides Noah Newman’s (Rory Gibson) declaration of love to Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes). Mariah agrees the three of them can get past it…Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) hopes against hope that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will ask her to remain in Genoa City. When he doesn’t, she books a flight for Milan.

Victor is dubious over Ashland’s much-improved health…Chelsea and Chloe pitch a collaboration between their new design company and Fenmore’s. Adam makes a point of offering Sally a position at Newman Media in front of the women; Chelsea is left fuming. Sally thinks that Adam was just helping her save face, but he reveals that the offer is genuine. The smoldering tension between the two begins to ignite…Victor tasks Michael with personally vetting the Peruvian clinic responsible for Ashland’s recovery.

Dominic’s health takes a turn for the worst…Mariah and Tessa’s friends and family turn out to celebrate their engagement…Noah struggles to put on a happy face. He winds up drunkenly toasting the couple. Sharon Rosales (Sharon Chase) fears for Noah’s well-being.
