The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, May 8, 2020, finishes up a week dedicated to Nikki by featuring her 2002 wedding to Victor. But will this couple live happily ever after once the truth comes out about Victor being Abby’s father?
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) prepares to marry Victor (Eric Braeden) again in the Collondade Room, the site of their first wedding. That time, back in 1982, Victoria (Ashley Nicole Milan) was an adorable, blonde cherub. Twenty years later, she’s a hot blonde bridesmaid played by Heather Tom (now Katie on The Bold and the Beautiful).
Also in the wedding party was Sharon (Sharon Case) still married to Nick (Joshua Morrow), though their tense looks suggest it’s getting iffy, and a teeny-tiny Cassie (Camryn Grimes). The role of adorable blonde cherub this time around is being played by a pint-sized Noah.

Ashley: Beneath the Surface
The sight of little Noah with Victor makes Ashley (Eileen Davidson) physically ill. Well, OK, that’s more the chemotherapy from her breast cancer treatments. But after Olivia (Tonya Lee Williams) takes Ashley home to toddler Abby, Ashley is inspired to make a video for her daughter, telling her that Victor, not Brad (Don Diamont) is her biological father. (And baby Abby does love being on camera! Check out how she kept saying bye-bye over and over again. That’s what we call a scene-stealer!)
Captive Audience
Among those being forced to watch Victor and Nikki gush about how much they love each other are Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Jack (Peter Bergman). Nikki invited her ex-husband to this shin-dig? After Victor was responsible for the baby Nikki and Jack lost? It seems less than sensitive.
Then again, both Victor and Nikki’s exes, Ashley and Brad, were there, as well. We guess they really wanted the wedding gifts! The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
