The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, August 7, 2020 concludes months of classic reruns with one big bang. Adam believes he’s about to get away – which is the last thing Chloe wants. Sharon thinks she knows what Victor is up to – and so do the cops. Plus, Neil hears his mother out.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Before Devon (Bryton James) suffered as no human being has ever suffered when he lost Hilary (Mishael Morgan), that role was played in 2016 by Chloe. Even though half the people in Genoa City – Jack (Peter Bergman), Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Ashley (Eileen Davidson), Sharon (Sharon Case), Nick (Joshua Morrow), Jill (Jess Walton), etc… – had suffered the same loss, her pain was so great that she was allowed to never let others forget about it.
Chloe felt perfectly justified in plotting with Victor (Eric Braeden) to frame Adam (Justin Hartley) for murder. Then, when Victor helped Adam break out, Chloe felt equally justified in killing him. Justice, you know.
As Chloe was out killing Adam in cold blood, Kevin (Greg Rikaart) was taking care of Bella. And trying to ignore Daniel’s most unfortunate facial hair.
Meanwhile, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) needed to get medicine for a sick Connor, but there was a warrant out for her arrest. Sharon (Sharon Case) wondered if this was Victor’s plan all along. Get rid of both parents, keep Conner for himself.
Mum’s the Word
Neil (Kristoff St. John) was mad that his mother walked out on him and rarely kept in touch. He didn’t want to hear her explanations. Lucinda (Nichelle Nichols) laid a guilt trip on Neil for being angry. He needs to shut his mouth and listen!
Neil shuts up. Lucinda tells him that she left him because she was an alcoholic. Oh, OK, that makes it all right then. Neil and his mom make up. That was easy. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
