The Young and the Restless recap goes back to a day in 2005 when Gloria had to tell John that her sons were two men he hated the most, while Nikki offered Sharon unsolicited advice on how to raise her daughter. Plus, Victor laid down the law to his son, who took it out on Phyllis, who went running to Jack, who’d also just smacked down Brad. This is how you write an interconnected show, folks!

The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

Ashley (Eileen Davidson) let Gloria (Judith Chapman) know that she’d better tell John (Jerry Douglas) the truth about her sons – or Ashley would. Backed into a corner, Gloria is about to tell John that her real children weren’t the imposers she hired a year ago, but Michael (Christian J. LeBlanc), the guy who went to prison for harassing Christine (Lauralee Bell), who was John’s stepdaughter at one time, and Kevin (Greg Rikaart), the guy who tried to kill John’s granddaughter, Colleen.

Gloria was buttering John up for the truth – and subtly making him feel that her lying was his fault for being concerned about her – when Kevin bursts in. And the truth is out there!

What Goes Around Comes Around

Brad (Don Diamont) wants to be CEO of Jabot. Jack (Peter Bergman) says no. Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) wants more power at Newman Enterprises. Nick (Joshua Morrow) says no.

Phyllis stomps off and Jack prepares her a nice dinner. Nice to have a pleasant home to withdraw to when the professional world is less than optimal.

Mother Knows Best

Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick know that Cassie (Camryn Grimes) is acting out. They don’t need Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) to point it out to them. Yes, Nikki feels the need to offer some parenting tips. Because her kids turned out so well. This is going on just as Victor (Eric Braeden) is chewing out Nick. Parents of the year! The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
