The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, April 9, 2020, sees Adam celebrating just as the noose tightens around him, while Abby is shocked to see who is on Phyllis’ side, and everyone continues to support Sharon.
Battle Lines Are Drawn
Adam (Mark Grossman) informs Victoria (Amelia Heinle) he plans to dismantle everything she built at Newman Enterprises and make it his own. Back at the office, he takes down Victor’s (Eric Braeden) portrait and puts his feet on his desk. All bow down before Zod!
Meanwhile, Alyssa is ranting at Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) about how Adam has yet to publish her expose on Victor. Adam comes home and tells Alyssa he’s looking for a big market to showcase her work, which mollifies her somewhat. After she leaves, Adam and Chelsea toast to how wonderful they are and how Alyssa won’t be a problem due to their brilliance.
Victoria lets Billy (Jason Thompson) know she’s out at Newman, and won’t accept his condolences. She insists she’s got this. Victoria meets with Alyssa and tells her she’s putting her trust in the wrong people.
Stop Work Order
Abby (Melissa Ordway) is furious that Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) managed to get construction on their hotel shut down, but she’s even more furious to learn that Phyllis and Nick (Joshua Morrow) are back together. Where is his family loyalty? Nick is too busy making out with Phyllis to answer.
Love Is All-Around
Sharon (Sharon Case) learns her doctor wants to do a lumpectomy. Mariah (Camryn Grimes), Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) and Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) show up to repeat how supportive they are of her. Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) is also supportive. He tells Nick he’s nervous. Nick is supportive. Sharon and the girls hug. Sharon and Rey kiss.
