The Young and the Restless recap for December 21-25, 2020, features Amanda plucking up the courage to confront her past..and then losing it.
Amanda’s (Mishael Morgan) investigation into her past finally bore fruit. She learned her mother’s name, where she lived, and a few other pertinent details, including the fact that this Naya person comes from wealth and privilege.
But what to do next? First, Amanda wanted to go and confront Naya. Then she didn’t. And then she did again. Devon (Bryton James) took time out of his busy schedule to accompany his wife’s twin to her destination…and watched as she decided not to speak to her mom after all.
Turns out that seeing the woman who gave her up for adoption welcome ANOTHER daughter into the house didn’t exactly inspire Amanda to reach out and reveal herself. At least the two didn’t go very far out of their way.
So, Gloria’s (Judith Chapman) got the goods on an embezzling Newman Enterprises exec. AND three million bucks to boot? Why the heck did she leave all that pertinent information behind and in a place where it could be so easily found?
Here’s hoping that Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) and Sharon’s (Sharon Case) wedding is a more successful endeavor than her attempt to cook him dinner. How did it all go so wrong? Does anybody else think that Celeste (Eva LaRue) might have sabotaged her future daughter-in-law to be’s efforts?
Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind), much like her mother, has really bad taste in friends. How much longer until she finds an Adam (Mark Grossman) all her own?
Nate (Sean Dominic) wants so little out of life. Now that he can no longer work as a surgeon, the list has narrowed even further to simply a quiet and happy life with Elena (Brytni Sarpy). But she can’t stop thinking about Devon…except when she’s with Devon and then she can’t stop thinking about Nate.
Who’s the most jealous woman on the scene at the moment? Brooding Abby (Melissa Ordway), who seems to despise every woman blessed with a little bambino? Or Victoria (Amelia Heinle) who seems determined that Billy (Jason Thompson) and Lily (Christel Khalil) shall not have their happily ever after? The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS.
