The Young and the Restless recap for November 11-16, 2019, features a little action and adventure inside a plush hotel, more family drama for the Abbotts, and a whole lot of raised questions best left for the fans to answer.

The Young and the Restless Recap: Weekly Highlight

“Okay, let me get this straight,” Chance (Donny Boaz) intoned to Cane (Daniel Goddard). “You get knocked out. These new will pages mysteriously show up. And all of a sudden you’re a billionaire. Am I the only one that thinks that this sound sketchy?”

No Chance. No you’re not. In fact, why don’t you bust Cane in the jaw for a second time just so he wont forge that your displeased that he “screwed Devon out of $2 billion.”

Oh that’s right, you’re too busy realizing that a pissed off Simon (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) had taken Adam (Mark Grossman), Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), Connor, and Abby (Melissa Ordway) hostage in the Grand Phoenix’s lobby. Gosh, that hotel is just one brick and mortar PR nightmare isn’t it?

Good thing that Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) has schematics of the entire building (ventilation shafts and all) and a plethora of security cameras all pointed at the lobby where the impromptu siege is taking place.

The intrepid duo were able to contact Abby via the phone she hid from Simon and while Chance crawled through the ductwork, she caused a distraction by channeling her inner diva and throwing one heck of a fit.

Cue Adam who knocked the gun from Simon’s hand — there was no way that Mr. Black was going to leave the premises with Connor — and Chance, who descended from the ceiling and KO’d the baddie.

Repercussions

Following a successful resolution to the crisis, and after some prompting from Adam, Miss Lawson finally came clean to her beau about the reason for Simon’s actions and poor Nicholas (Joshua Morrow) had to kiss his budding political career behind — thanks Chelsea!

Family Drama

Kyle (Michael Mealor) continued to whine about his nemesis climbing the family tree while Theo (Tyler Johnson) — the nemesis in question — had a kinda cool meeting with his kinda aunt Ashley (Eileen Davidson) about the kinda complicated situation that is his parentage.

The conversation solidified Ashley’s high opinion of Theo and she offered him a job with her back in Paris. Jack (Peter Bergman) was angered that his sister was trying to bogart the nephew he just started to bond with but Ashley had her reasons — as a non-blood Abbott fighting to get recognition and respect from her siblings she understands Theo’s plight more than anyone else.

YR Recap: Weekly Musings

Phyllis was sure throwing an awful lot of truth bombs around this week, wasn’t she? First, she read Abby like a book, “Unfortunately since you DON’T have a life you’re interested in mine.” Then, she gave Amanda (Mishael Morgan) her seal of approval because “I can see a fellow barracuda a mile away.”
