The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, November 11 celebrates Veteran’s Day with some gun violence, as Simon pulled his weapon on Chelsea’s loved ones, Chance did his job, and Nick disappointed Victor — for neither the first nor the last time.

The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

Adam (Mark Grossman) stopped by Victor’s (Eric Braeden) to ask for permission to take Connor (Judah Mackey) to Hope’s farm, which Victor owns. Connor wanted to ask Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) to come with them — again, so they stopped by the Grand Phoenix.

Chelsea had just asked Anita (Catherine Bach) to wire her the one million dollars Simon (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) claims Calvin owed him, but Simon has grown tired of waiting. He pulled out a gun to hold Chelsea, Connor, and Abby (Melissa Ordway) hostage. Adam insisted on staying. The more the merrier!

Taking a Chance

Chance (Danny Boaz) punched Cane (Daniel Goddard) for taking Devon’s (Bryton James) rightfully inherited two billion dollars. Cane admitted Jill (Jess Walton) suspected Colin (Tristan Rogers) might be involved. Chance admitted he’s in town to do a job, but he also wanted a word with Amanda (Mishael Morgan), his alleged lawyer.

Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) then let Chance watch the hostage stand-off on her security system.

Daddy’s Dream

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) chastised Nick (Joshua Morrow) for not telling Victor about his plans to run for office. After being blown off by Chelsea — who, unbeknownst to Nick, had her hands full at the moment — Nick dutifully trudged off to Victor’s.

Victor, having magnanimously given Adam permission to visit his own mother’s home, was feeling generous. He told Nick that he’d wanted more for him, but understands that his son won’t always take Victor’s wise advice. Later, Victor told Nikki that he hopes Nick will kick his opponent’s butt.
