The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, September 17 features a day that takes a page from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, as all the demons in Billy’s head took the form of various loved ones who laid down some hard truths about his recent behavior.

Take a Dive

Billy (Jason Thompson) confessed to Victoria (Amelia Heinle) that Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) is right, he did try to kill Adam (Mark Grossman). But that was bad, gum-chewing Billy. Victoria urged Billy to face his dark side, so he proceeded to dive inside his warped psyche… which looked an awful lot like the boathouse.

A teenage Delia told Billy that going after Adam cost him all the progress he’s made and that the other side is beautiful, but Billy won’t be allowed to show that, because his soul is dark.

Next up was Jack (Peter Bergman), who ran down a list of all of Billy’s screw-ups, then told him he can only be one man — the winner or the loser. And they both knew which one he already is.

The Real Issue

Jill (Jess Walton) told Billy that he will ruin Victoria and that he can’t expect her to save him, Billy has to do that on his own.

Next, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) showed up, told Billy she can never forgive him for sleeping with Summer (Hunter King), and goaded him into a card game. Only the death cards came up. He’s doomed!

Finally, Billy came face to face with Adam. They fought until Adam turned into Dark Billy. Billy punched his hallucination, and bad, gum-chewing Billy went away. That was easy. Billy wondered if there’s any good left in him as he and Victoria embraced. Tomorrow, we return to our regularly scheduled programming. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS.
