The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, March 20, 2020, features Adam and Chelsea exploiting his childhood friend and Victor suddenly thinking about something he previously gave no thought to, whatsoever. Also, Victoria didn’t know what to do, and Phyllis told Amanda what to do, in case she didn’t know, either.

The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

Adam (Mark Grossman) did some digging and learned that his stepfather, Cliff, may have owed money to Alyssa’s loan shark dad, AJ. Cliff was run over and killed and Adam wondered if AJ was responsible.

He wanted Alyssa to investigate but she wasn’t enthused to find out if her dad was a killer. Later, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) let it slip to Alyssa that Adam thinks Victor (Eric Braeden) may have killed AJ. Alyssa vowed to get to the bottom of it. Adam and Chelsea all but cackled evilly at how they played the grieving woman.

Father/Daughter Bonding

Victoria (Amelia Heinle) expressed interest in coming back to work. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) was concerned. Victor encouraged her. He talked about protecting his family from danger. Then he suddenly looked at a file about Cliff and AJ’s death. Which he just happened to have handy.

Phyllis and Amanda: Girl Talk

Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Amanda (Mishael Morgan) chatted about men and work and it was all kind of normal. Amanda is thinking about becoming house counsel somewhere, but since she can’t do it for Devon (Bryton James) or the Newmans, well, then, there go all the jobs in the world. (And this just shows how marginalized the Abbotts have become, that they’re not even in play.)

Phyllis teased Amanda about wanting Nate (Sean Dominic). Later, Nate stopped by to share that the urchin they’re all suddenly obsessed with is in jail. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
