Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) went to Billy’s (Jason Thompson) office at Abbott-Chancellor. She gave him a plant and told him about celebrating with her children. Phyllis was thrilled that things were getting better for her and her kids. Of course, Phyllis finally suggested bringing her Daniel (Michael Graziadei) back to the company. Billy said he would think about it, but he pointed out they had more pressing concerns.

Later, Phyllis and Billy sat at the bar at the Athletic Club, where she continued to express excitement about her son’s job prospects. She apologized when she realized Billy wasn’t doing well, reminding him of his recent breakup, being hit by Adam (Mark Grossman), and Victor (Eric Braeden) declaring war on him. Billy was worried about how Johnny (Paxton Mishkind) and Katie (Sienna Mercuri) would be affected. However, he insisted Victor drove the conflict. Despite Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle)offer to buy him out, Billy remained resolute in keeping Abbott-Chancellor to solidify his mom’s legacy.

Phyllis questioned whether Billy was risking too much and hinted he might be driven by the thrill of risk-taking, which could harm his kids. Billy dismissed her concerns, claiming he was prepared for the fight. He believed Victoria wouldn’t want a family war and would eventually side with him against Victor.

Meanwhile, Daniel and Lucy (Lily Brooks O’Briant) returned to their apartment, surprised to find Heather (Vail Bloom) missing.

Sharon (Sharon Case) was at home. She told Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Mariah (Camryn Grimes) that she had been in a dark place and was trying to regain control. Although they were supportive, Sharon’s troubles seemed far from over because she realized she still had Heather’s phone, so she texted Daniel that Heather had to leave for a while.

At the Athletic Club dining room, Nate (Sean Dominic) commented on the afterglow from the previous night with Audra (Zuleyka Silver). She laughed and told him to leave before her meeting arrived. Audra confided that Bob Elton, who had been working with Kyle (Michael Mealor), would soon want to work solely with her. Nate remarked on the effort she had to put into outmaneuvering Kyle. Just then, Kyle appeared, revealing he had just met with Bob Elton.

Kyle accused Audra of trying to charm his top retail prospect. Audra was furious when Kyle revealed he had canceled her product samples. Nate encouraged Audra to handle the situation, though Claire (Hayley Erin) observed their interaction from afar. Kyle taunted Audra, claiming to be several steps ahead of her.

Later, at a bar, Nate and Claire discussed the cutthroat nature of business. Nate noted that power struggles were normal. Meanwhile, Jack (Peter Bergman) and Billy had a heated discussion at home. Jack warned Billy about Victor’s influence and urged him to reconsider his approach to running for Chancellor-Abbott. Billy dismissed Jack’s concerns, asserting that his vision was clear and he wouldn’t let anyone undermine it.

At Society, Victoria and Victor discussed family and business. Victoria revealed she had offered to buy Billy out. Victor wasn’t happy even though Billy declined. Victor warned Victoria not to oppose him.

At the club, Audra told Kyle her product pitch was still moving forward, now targeting Bob Elton’s stores. Kyle threatened her, but Audra remained defiant, determined to win control of Glissade.

Jack told Diane that he had a tense encounter with Billy. However, he discovered issues at Newman Enterprises that could benefit them. He related that Victor was targeting Abbott-Chancellor. But, Victoria attempted to buy Billy out against Victor’s wishes. Diane told Jack not to get involved because Victor would beat Billy.

At Newman Enterprises, Audra pitched a product to Victor but blamed Kyle for canceling her order. Kyle showed up, and he and Audra argued in Victor’s office about sabotaging each other. Victor challenged them to prove themselves. At the Abbott Mansion, Kyle discovered his mom’s laptop open, and he snooped through Jabot files.

Daniel told Summer (Allison Lanier) and Phyllis that Heather had abruptly left town without explanation. He’d even called Paul for help. At Sharon’s, Nick (Joshua Morrow) offered support as she prepared for therapy. Cameron (Linden Ashby) reminded her of the consequences of Heather’s death and cautioned her not to tell the truth in therapy. Sharon resolved to move forward.

At Society, Diane told Jack she wanted to hire somebody to replace Kyle at Jabot. Later, when Jack stepped away, she and Audra got into an argument over Kyle’s career. Jack apologized to Audra, which infuriated Diane. However, Jack told her they couldn’t alienate Kyle’s business partner.

At Newman, Kyle pitched a secret project to Victor in exchange for Audra’s dismissal. Victor ultimately fired Audra.

Daniel received a call. Authorities had found Heather’s body. Phyllis offered to go with him, but Daniel went and identified the body alone.

Victoria called Nick and told him she and Billy were preparing their children for an impending war with Victor. Although she supported her mother in taking control of the Chancellor, she feared the fallout. Nick reassured her she was doing the right thing.

At Crimson Lights, Phyllis told Nick that Heather was dead. Her body was discovered in the river, and Daniel was telling Lucy. Phyllis was shocked and struggled to grasp the reality of the situation. Nick comforted her, assuring her they would support Daniel and Lucy through this difficult time.

At Daniel’s apartment, he broke the news to Lucy, explaining that Heather had died. Lucy was devastated and they both wept together. Lucy struggled with guilt over her last interactions with Heather, while Daniel reassured her that her mother knew she was loved.

Meanwhile, Sharon learned about Heather’s death from the news. She confronted Cameron, accusing him of lying about the situation. He insisted that they had covered their tracks well and that the authorities believed Heather’s death was an accident. Cameron suggested Sharon could use the situation to her advantage.

At a jazz club, Victor and Lily (Christel Khalil) talked about Chancellor’s future. Although Lily wanted to oust Billy, Victor told her to be patient. They also considered the possibility of planting a spy within the company. Lily surprised Victor by suggesting Phyllis.

Adam (Mark Grossman) saw Sally (Courtney Hope) at Society. She tried to avoid him, but he asked for a moment of her time. Sally told Adam she was trying to forget him. He urged her to listen to her heart, but she reminded him that he had made slept with Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan).

Meanwhile, at Crimson Lights, Billy spotted Chelsea. They talked he had told their kids about their split, attributing it to work. Though things were awkward between them, they both hoped the discomfort would fade over time.

Adam interrupted, and Billy accused Adam of using Conner (Judah Mackey) to manipulate Chelsea. After Billy left, Chelsea and Adam argued. Adam said Billy wasn’t her true love but rather a hero figure. Chelsea disagreed, saying she loved Billy.

At Chancellor Park, Sharon offered her condolences to Daniel and Lucy about Heather’s death. However, her probing questions upset Daniel. He accused her of being insensitive during their time of grief.

At the GCAC, Phyllis told Summer and Chance (Conner Floyd) that Heather was dead. Summer was heartbroken, and Chance warned that things would get worse if the autopsy results revealed more details. Later, Chance told Daniel that Heather hadn’t drowned but had died from blunt force trauma. Phyllis told Billy the news and he comforted her.

Sharon and Cameron discussed their next steps, with Cameron urging Sharon to focus on making Daniel pay.
