It was a busy week in Genoa City, and The Young and the Restless recap for October 7 – 11 had its share of drama and unresolved problems for people throughout Genoa City. Some of the biggest included Sharon trying to set up Daniel, Jack having it out with Kyle, and Tessa letting Mariah know they had a big problem

Monday, October 7, 2024
At Crimson Lights, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) told Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Summer (Allison Lanier) about Heather’s (Vail Bloom) death. Nick reminded her that they didn’t know the exact cause of Heather’s death yet. He told her to focus on supporting Daniel (Michael Graziadei) and Lucy (Lily Brooks O’Briant). Summer asked if she should visit her brother or give him space, and Phyllis suggested they begin planning a memorial service for Heather.
In her car, Sharon (Sharon Case) tried to calm herself. She resolved to fix the situation but needed to get Daniel and Lucy out of their apartment. While rummaging in her bag, she found Heather’s phone and looked up Daniel’s contact information.
Meanwhile, in his apartment, Daniel received a message from Heather’s phone. Lucy asked about the message. Daniel told her someone had found her mother’s phone, and Lucy thought it meant Heather was alive. Daniel told her that wasn’t the case, but they decided to retrieve the phone for potential clues. When they left, Sharon went inside Daniel’s apartment and planted evidence.
At Society, Kyle (Michael Mealor) taunted Audra (Zuleyka Silver) about besting her, but Audra wasn’t ready to concede, accusing Kyle of being a fraud. Later, at the jazz lounge, Kyle discussed his role in Audra’s firing with Claire (Hayley Erin). She felt uneasy about his gloating over Audra’s misfortune.
At Sharon’s place, Faith (Reylynn Caster) confronted her mother about her late-night disappearance, worried after Heather’s death. Sharon reassured Faith and said she had turned a corner.
At the Club, Daniel and Lucy met with Chance (Conner Floyd), who informed them that Heather’s death had become an official police investigation. They planned to follow up on the message sent from Heather’s phone because Chance was suspicious of how someone accessed it.

At the Abbott mansion, Jack (Peter Bergman) asked Diane (Susan Walters) to go to lunch, but she wasn’t sure. Traci (Beth Maitland) and Alan (Christopher Cousins) arrived, mentioning how wonderful Paris was, but Alan wanted to find a place to live in Genoa City. Jack and Traci caught up with them, discussing Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and the stress Jack had experienced during Traci’s absence, particularly the situation with Kyle. Jack felt concerned that he and Kyle might not be able to fix their issues.
At the Club, Victor (Eric Braeden) told Michael (Christian Le Blanc) about acquiring Glissade, which Kyle would run. Michael wondered why Victor needed an attorney, but Victor wanted protection from any fallout. Meanwhile, Faith updated Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Nick about her concerns about Sharon’s late-night drive.
Phyllis told Summer how hard a time Lucy had after choosing a necklace that once belonged to Heather. Phyllis was overwhelmed with guilt for causing Daniel and Summer pain when seh faked her death.
Daniel was frustrated over not being able to retrieve Heather’s phone, the only lead he had. Haunted by her actions, Sharon imagined talking to Cameron, who urged her to make a decisive move. She struggled with guilt and confusion as her mind drifted to past events.
At the Club, Alan joined Traci, and she offered him a place to stay at the Abbott house, but he wanted his own place. Meanwhile, Diane and Jack argued about Kyle’s betrayal. Diane got frustrated because Jack blamed Victor. Ultimately, Diane yelled at Jack and stormed off.
At Crimson Lights, Daniel received a shocking call from a hospital in Lisbon informing him that Paul had a heart attack after hearing about Heather’s death.

At Crimson Lights, Cole (J. Eddie Peck) was thrilled to spend the evening with Victoria (Amelia Henle) and Claire. They talked about Katie (Sienna Mercuri) and Johnny (Paxton Mishkind) warming up to Claire, which made Cole happy. Claire excused herself to visit the craft store. After she left, Victoria mentioned Claire’s tension over Kyle. Cole suspected that Claire might have slowed things down with Kyle. Victoria worried her past heartbreaks might have influenced Claire’s views on love.
At home, Sharon got ready to go on a date with Nick. Faith complimented her appearance, and they talked about how Nick had supported Sharon recently. After Faith left the room, Cameron appeared, reminding Sharon of Heather’s murder and warning her that she wasn’t in the clear yet.
Meanwhile, Nick checked on Mariah and Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) at Society, learning that Sharon had led a successful meeting. After Nick left, Tessa revealed that their nanny, Petra, was leaving, prompting Mariah to suggest Claire as a replacement. When Claire arrived, they offered her the nanny position, which she promised to consider.
Chance arrived at Daniel’s place to discuss Heather’s phone. Daniel agreed to let Chance talk to Lucy, who revealed that Heather had mentioned wanting to move to Lisbon. Chance pressed her for more information, but Lucy became emotional, worrying about her role in Heather’s demise.
Later, Sharon and Nick enjoyed dinner together, reflecting on their shared history. Afterward, Sharon daydreamed that they kissed. Cameron reappeared, warning her that she wasn’t free from trouble yet, telling her to stop the bodice ripper daydreaming.
Claire returned to her parents and shared that Mariah and Tessa had offered her a nanny job. Cole encouraged her to consider it, and Victoria told her how great it was to be in such high demand.

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Claire met for dinner at the GCAC, where Claire shared that Mariah and Tessa had offered her a nanny job. Nikki was pleased for her and encouraged her to negotiate for a higher salary. However, Claire felt conflicted as she valued the family business and her passion for working with children. Nikki reassured her that she would support any decision Claire made.
Meanwhile, Kyle visited Victor at Newman Enterprises. Kyle expressed confidence in his strategy to disrupt Jabot, and Victor encouraged him to prove he could outperform his father.
Jack and Diane argued about Kyle. Diane Insisted Kyle was responsible for the product theft. Jack eventually vowed to confront Kyle. After Jack left, Victor appeared smug about the situation, and Diane accused him of trying to destroy her family.
Later, Jack saw Kyle, and they argued about Kyle’s betrayal. Jack was furious over Kyle’s involvement in stealing a product formula. Jack warned his son of legal consequences.
At Society, Abby and Devon learned their wedding venue had been canceled. Victor promised to find them a perfect replacement venue in Genoa City, and they thanked him for his help. Abby remained concerned about the future, but Devon reassured her that their commitment was what truly mattered.
Sharon answered questions about Chance’s investigation into Heather’s death. Cameron pressured her to keep lying. Despite her guilt, she told Chance that she was with Heather the night she died. Sharon said that Heather and Daniel had been having issues.

At Crimson Lights, Devon told Lily how Dominic refused to let him dress him, which reminded Lily of when Charlie went through a similar phase. They discussed Devon and Abby’s canceled wedding venue and how Victor had found a solution. Devon told Lily he was worried about her working with Victor. He questioned whether she had a written agreement to be CEO, which upset her. Devon believed Victor would eventually give the job to Nikki, but Lily remained confident in her abilities.
Later, Nate (Sean Dominic) joined Devon, and they discussed his concerns about Lily’s deal with Victor. Nate advised Devon to let it go, suggesting Victor’s intentions might not be as sinister as Devon suspected. Nate also mentioned meeting Amy Lewis (Valarie Pettiford), an old acquaintance of his father’s, who had passed along some personal items.
Meanwhile, Nikki took Victor coffee and sweets at Newman Enterprises, where they discussed Lily’s role at Chancellor. Nikki felt uncomfortable deceiving Lily, especially as she had grown fond of following in Katherine’s footsteps. Victor reassured her that everything was going according to plan, though it bothered Nikki that Jack had treated Diane poorly.
Claire talked to Jack at the Abbott household about Kyle’s increasingly ruthless behavior. Jack revealed that Kyle’s actions were reminiscent of Victor, who had long been his enemy. Jack warned Claire that Victor was leading Kyle down a dangerous path.
Elsewhere, Chance questioned Daniel about his relationship with Heather before her death. Daniel was confused by Sharon’s claim that she had apologized to Heather that night, as it didn’t align with his recollection of events. Despite Chance’s probing, Daniel denied any possibility of Heather having a secret lover.
