It was a busy week in Genoa City, and The Young and the Restless recap for October 28 – November 1 had its share of drama and unresolved problems for people throughout Genoa City.
Check out the daily summary recap of each episode below.
At the Abbott mansion, Jack (Peter Bergman) looked sadly at his wedding photos when Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). She worried that he might turn to pills to cope with his marriage woes. Jack reassured her that he wouldn’t, and she urged him to call his sponsor. In return, Jack asked Nikki to get Victor (Eric Braeden) to stop messing with Kyle (Michael Mealor). Jack told Nikki that Victor was using Kyle as part of a vendetta against him, and Nikki wasn’t pleased.
Meanwhile, Kyle told Claire (Hayley Erin) about his parents’ public fight, Diane’s (Susan Walters) firing, and her prioritizing ambition over family. Claire empathized, suggesting this might allow him and Jack to mend their relationship. Kyle admitted he had difficulty forgiving his parents but acknowledged he may have misinterpreted Diane’s motives.
Traci (Beth Maitland) visited Diane, offering support and a pastry, but Diane admitted she returned to Genoa City with an agenda. She told Traci she no longer wanted to hide her ambition and insisted that Jack and Kyle would have to accept her as she was. Traci told Jack about her concerns. Jack was frustrated by Traci’s peacemaking attempt.
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) confronted Christine (Lauralee Bell) at the GCAC after Chance (Conner Floyd) arrested Daniel (Michael Graziadei) for Heather’s (Vail Bloom) murder. She accused Christine of being unfit to represent her son, but Christine remained calm, assuring her she would fight for Daniel. Later, Phyllis ranted to Michael (Christian le Blanc), convinced Sharon (Sharon Case) was framing Daniel. Michael cautioned her against fabricating evidence, reminding her to let the legal process unfold.
At Victor’s office, Nikki confronted him about being the secret investor in Glissade and using Kyle against Jack. Victor dismissed her concerns, blaming her relationship with Jack for his need to retaliate. After Nikki left, Victor called Diane, and she vowed to seek payback against Jack.
Diane met with Victor in his office. She suspected he had kept Nikki out of the loop about his revenge plans. When Victor questioned her intentions, Diane requested he fire Kyle and make her CEO of Glissade to hurt Jack. Victor doubted her sincerity but agreed to consider it if she proved her loyalty. Diane assured him she was fully committed.
Later, Nikki showed up, and she was surprised to see Diane. Once Diane left, Nikki warned Victor not to support her schemes, but Victor dismissed Nikki’s concerns, saying he would handle it.
Meanwhile, at the GCAC bar, Jack informed Kyle of his plans to go to Paris to bring Ashley (Eileen Davidson) home. Kyle suggested staying at the Abbott house, and they discussed their relief with Diane out of their lives. Diane arrived and accused them of ganging up on her, but they both walked away.
Amy (Valarie Pettiford) visited Nate (Sean Dominic), explaining she had been involved with his late father and had secretly given birth to his half-brother, Damian, who didn’t know his true parentage. Amy, now terminally ill, asked Nate to find and support Damian, which he reluctantly agreed to consider.
Meanwhile, Phyllis confronted Chance, insisting he had wrongly arrested Daniel. She suspected Sharon’s involvement, but Chance reminded her there was no proof. Daniel, now released on bail, discussed his mother’s theory with Christine, who reluctantly considered investigating other suspects.
At home, Sharon learned about Daniel’s arrest. She imagined confiding in Nick, who urged her to come clean. Later, Sharon had a nightmare in which Chance and Christine arrested her, accusing her of fabricating evidence. Upon waking, she realized she couldn’t continue living with this secret.
Nate was at home thinking about when Audra (Zuleyka Silver) arrived with lunch, and he shared news of Amy Lewis’s recent visit. Amy had revealed to him that he had a half-brother and wanted him to tell his sibling the truth before she passed away. Audra suggested that Amy’s story might be a scam, and Nate admitted he’d considered that possibility. Despite the uncertainty, Audra assured him she’d support his decision, and they kissed.
Their moment was interrupted by Devon’s arrival. Nate confided in Devon about Amy’s story, mentioning that he planned to contact his mother for insight. Uncertain about Amy’s intentions, Devon encouraged Nate to consider how this news could impact his life. Later, Devon asked Nate to be his best man at his upcoming wedding, and Nate accepted, honored to be asked.
Meanwhile, Abby met with Sally at Society and requested that she design her wedding dress. Sally agreed, and they toasted the collaboration. Audra later joined them, though Abby’s discomfort with her presence was evident. Audra hoped for civility between them, which Abby reluctantly agreed to.
Elsewhere, Nikki approached Lily to persuade her to join forces, but Lily refused, explaining her plans to run Chancellor herself with Jill’s (Jess Walton) support. Kyle also met with Victor, who questioned his loyalty amidst his parents’ split. Kyle reassured Victor that he wouldn’t return to Jabot, even if asked, which satisfied Victor for the time being. Later, Nikki asked Victor to drop his vendetta against Jack and focus on Chancellor. He agreed, but she remained skeptical.
Finally, Devon and Abby discussed their wedding plans at Crimson Lights, only for Lily to hint at complications related to Abby’s father. Abby asked Devon what Victor had done this time.
Abby and Devon took Dominic (River Ware) to Chancellor Park, where they discussed Lily. Devon brushed off Abby’s concern over her father’s actions, doubting an apology was likely. Soon after, Tessa (Cait Fairbanks), Mariah (Camryn Grimes), and their daughter Aria (Millie Ingle) joined, and Abby shared her wedding preparations, noting that her father was handling the venue details.
Meanwhile, Lily video-called Jill, frustrated with Billy’s inaction regarding his responsibilities. Jill urged patience, planning to address the issue during Devon’s wedding, though Lily feared it might be too late.
At Crimson Lights, Billy spotted Chelsea with Connor. Sally noticed Billy’s distress and briefly discussed Connor’s feelings about family. Victoria (Amelia Heinle) showed up, teasing Billy and Sally’s rapport. Later, Billy and Adam exchanged tense words, with Adam hinting that Jill might soon replace Billy at their company, underscoring their rivalry.
At home, Sharon struggled with guilt over past actions, haunted by visions of Nick and Heather. Her hallucinations intensified as she argued with her visions, blaming Heather for not leaving her alone. Overwhelmed, she fled her house. Later, Sharon drove to Chancellor Park, further haunted by Heather’s apparition.
Returning to the park, Lily told Devon how upset she was over her career, and Devon urged her to reconsider her approach.
At the park, Sharon joined, embracing Aria, but her visions of Heather reappeared, keeping her unsettled despite her family’s warmth.
At Society, Daniel drank heavily, struggling with guilt and frustration over being a murder suspect in Heather’s death. Tessa joined him, offering support. Tessa wondered if clearing away Halloween decorations might help ease his grief. Afterward, Daniel admitted he felt slightly better, ate the “hangover-prevention burrito” Tessa ordered, and thanked her for the encouragement to keep going for his daughter’s sake. He realized he might find some hope.
Meanwhile, at the GCAC, Claire told Cole (J. Eddie Peck) and Victoria about her decision to accept Nikki’s job offer instead of continuing with childcare. They warned her that working for the Newman family could be risky, especially given Victor’s plans to take control of Abbott Chancellor. Claire called it her “Newman baptism by fire,” but her parents were uneasy about her choice.
Elsewhere, Kyle and Summer (Allison Lanier) returned from trick-or-treating with Harrison (Redding Munsell). They worried about Daniel’s case, and Summer felt that the evidence against her brother seemed too convenient. Kyle, trying to support her, suggested hiring an investigator and noted that Christine was representing Daniel. Later, they enjoyed some family time with Harrison and discussed the strain Diane’s actions had put on their family.
Afterward, Kyle spent time with Claire. She felt slightly out of place after seeing Summer. Meanwhile, Summer met Daniel in the park, where he confided that he planned to clear his name by finding the real killer.
