The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, May 15 sees Phyllis reach her breaking point and open up to Nick, while Claire makes a bold pivot in her plans with Kyle, and Audra stirs up trouble with both Kyle and her past flame.
What Happened on The Young and the Restless
At the GCAC, Nick (Joshua Morrow) found Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) eating alone and joined her. They talked about Summer and her hot new co-worker in Milan, which led to a passionate outburst from Phyllis. Her erratic energy had Nick on edge as she played with her knife and insisted she was “slaying every day.”
She opened up about her regret over how things ended with Daniel (Michael Graziadei) and Billy (Jason Thompson). Nick was surprised to learn Billy had fired her. Phyllis said she needed a reason to get up in the morning and hinted that she was waiting to hear back from Dumas about a new project. Nick asked why she hadn’t come to him for help. After all, he’d funded her before with The Grand Phoenix funding. She didn’t want their friendship tied to money.
As she picked at dessert, Phyllis admitted she felt like she was spiraling, especially since Daniel had pulled away. Nick suggested she visit Summer, but she said she had a plan. He gently proposed they get some air.
They walked to the park, where Phyllis finally let her guard down. She told Nick she felt like she was drowning. He assured her the worst was over and held her as she broke down.

About Face
At the ranch, Claire (Hayley Erin) told Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) that she and Kyle (Michael Mealor) decided not to move in together—at least for now. It wasn’t a fight—just a pause. Victoria was upset to learn Nikki had encouraged her to slow things down to please Victor (Eric Braeden). She warned her mom not to let history repeat itself.
Claire admitted that part of her agreed that she might be rushing, but she still wanted a future with Kyle. She just wanted it to work for everyone. Nikki offered her support, and Claire revealed a new plan: she’d throw a party to try to win her grandfather over.
Victoria doubted it would work, but Nikki promised to help. After Claire left, they worried the plan could blow up in her face, but admired her determination.
Keep Your Enemies Close
At Crimson Lights, Audra (Zuleyka Silver) and Kyle exchanged jabs. She claimed her new company Vibrante had an irresistible product and would turn the industry upside down. Kyle dismissed it as fluff, but Audra was confident. She claimed her upcoming product would be impossible to resist.
As she stepped outside, Holden (Nathan Owens) confronted her. He claimed he saw sparks flying between her and Kyle, just like the ones they used to share. Audra denied it, but Holden didn’t buy it. When he touched her face, she slapped his hand away. She warned him to back off and reminded him there was nothing between her and Kyle. He questioned what Nate would think of their recent interactions, but she told him they weren’t friends and needed to stay far apart.
Danger Zone
At Jabot, Diane (Susan Walters) showed off a new lipstick prototype with a built-in mirror. Kyle was impressed and filled her and Jack (Peter Bergman) in on his run-in with Audra. They all suspected Victor was behind her company. Jack warned him not to waste time trying to sabotage her. Diane urged him to focus elsewhere.
Claire dropped by to tell Kyle her party idea had support from her mom and Nikki. Kyle promised to be there and then revealed his own plan—he intended to provoke Audra just enough to uncover what she was really up to. Claire was uneasy. Kyle promised it wasn’t devious and told her to trust him.
