What Happened On Y&R?

Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) wasn’t happy that Billy (Jason Thompson) decided to pursue Chancellor again. He explained that Dumas had reached out with an opportunity to reclaim the company, and he saw no downside. However, Phyllis argued he could lose credibility. Billy said that his perspective had only sharpened. She wanted to build Abbott Communications, not embark on a reckless battle against Victor (Eric Braeden).

Despite Billy’s assurances that this wasn’t about revenge, Phyllis remained skeptical. He wouldn’t beg for her support. When she questioned whether he was being manipulated by power, he insisted it was a sound business decision. He reminded her that the Phyllis he once knew would have been eager for this opportunity. Phyllis’ kidnapping showed her there was more to life than grudges.

Billy admitted power played a role. He envisioned integrating Abbott Communications into Chancellor and surpassing Newman Media. Phyllis questioned why Dumas would hand over Chancellor. Billy claimed Dumas had his reasons but wouldn’t disclose them. Phyllis reminded Billy of her recent near-death experience—she couldn’t be part of another game.

Billy wouldn’t explain, and Phyllis distrusted the situation. She wanted the company to be a fresh start for her and Daniel (Michael Graziadei). She realized she couldn’t trust Billy again and questioned why she kept believing in him.

When Billy got home, Sally (Courtney Hope) noticed his bad mood. He revealed that Phyllis didn’t like his meeting with Dumas. Sally reminded Billy they had agreed on honesty. He admitted that Dumas had made a substantial business offer. However, Billy refused to share details until it was solidified. This secrecy concerned Sally.

Billy insisted he had waited his whole life for this kind of deal and could handle himself. However, Sally suspected there was more to Dumas. Meanwhile, Phyllis searched online for information on Dumas but found nothing—no pictures, no background.

Congratulations

At the Newman ranch, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) gathered with Victor and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). Adam and Chelsea showed up and announced they had reconciled. Victor was happy, and Nick and Victoria offered hesitant congratulations. Victoria assumed Connor (Judah Mackey) was thrilled, and she and Nick retrieved champagne for a toast.

Victor celebrated their reunion, and Adam acknowledged their struggles. He felt thankful for the family’s support and Victor’s belief in them. Victor asked about wedding plans, which prompted laughter.

Later, Chelsea, Victoria, and Nikki discussed the situation. Chelsea admitted she hadn’t expected such a warm reception or the mention of marriage. Victoria warned that the topic wouldn’t be dropped. Chelsea appreciated the honesty but believed Adam had changed, largely due to Connor’s struggles. Nikki reluctantly agreed that perhaps he had.

Meanwhile, Victor spoke with his sons, noting their rare moment of unity. Nick brushed off Adam’s teasing about Sharon (Sharon Case). Adam joked that when Victor approved of a relationship, it usually happened.

Afterward, Victor and Nikki discussed Adam’s progress. Victor believed he’d changed, but Nikki worried it wasn’t real. Nick and Victoria wentCrimson Lights, admitting their happiness for Adam and Chelsea. Meanwhile, Chelsea and Adam returned home. She thought Victor’s support was ironic, but Adam reassured her.

A Dangerous Plan

Elsewhere, Chance (Conner Floyd) spoke with Jack (Peter Bergman) and Traci (Beth Maitland) about their suspicions regarding Alan/Martin (Christopher Cousins). He advised Traci against going to Paris until they figured out the truth.

Jack opposed Traci’s direct involvement, but she saw no alternative. He wanted to invite Alan back under the guise of a family wedding. Traci and Chance agreed it might work.

Jack called Alan, who accepted the invitation without hesitation. Once off the phone, Jack said Alan sounded normal, which left them doubting. Once Alan returned, they would uncover his true identity. Traci vowed to get to the truth despite Jack’s objections.

Jack warned her about the danger, but Traci insisted on confronting Alan herself. She needed to see into his eyes and heart to determine the truth. Jack urged her to let the police handle it, but she remained resolute to see it through.
