The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, March 27, sees Phyllis flipping out on multiple occasions while Diane refuses to believe they can have a clean slate. Chelsea and Adam tell Connor they’re back together, and Traci tells Jack she’s worried she got engaged to the wrong twin.
What Happened On Y&R?
At the ranch, Adam (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) played around, and she stole his snacks. As they made out, she reminded him that Connor (Judah Mackey) was upstairs. Adam suggested they tell him about their relationship. Chelsea had no regrets but worried that the news might trigger Connor’s OCD. Adam reassured her that Connor could handle the change.
When Connor showed up, he squirmed as his parents repeated the word “change.” He was shocked to learn they were back together. He asked if they were getting married and if Sally (Courtney Hope) and Billy (Jason Thompson) knew. They assured him he could tell anyone and that it was okay for him to still care about Sally and Billy. Connor was thrilled, and after he left, Adam and Chelsea celebrated how well it had gone.

A New Leaf Interrupted
At the GCAC, Diane (Susan Walters) ran into Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and feigned concern over her kidnapping. Phyllis doubted her sincerity but surprised Diane by apologizing.
Phyllis said the ordeal had changed her perspective, and she wanted a fresh start. Diane was skeptical, and their conversation got tense. Phyllis snapped when Diane jokingly called herself a “lab rat” for Phyllis’ new attitude because it triggered memories of her captivity. She began to panic, and Diane called Billy to check on her before leaving.
Billy found Phyllis struggling to breathe and took her outside for air. At the park, she vented about Diane ruining her try at a good day. Billy told her that she was strong, but Phyllis admitted she felt shaken.
Shifting focus, they discussed their business. Billy revealed that Aristotle Dumas wanted to invest in Chancellor and take on Victor (Eric Braeden). Phyllis thought he was out of his mind.
Double Trouble
At Crimson Lights, Traci (Beth Maitland) told Jack (Peter Bergman) that she had doubts about Alan (Christopher Cousins). She worried that the mysterious texts he received were connected to Sharon (Sharon Case) and Phyllis’ kidnapping. Jack was stunned when she revealed that one text referenced gas expulsion. Traci worried Alan might not be who he claimed to be and that Martin could have taken his place.
Jack tried to reassure her, but Traci pointed out that Alan proposed quickly and then left the country. She worried that she had fallen for an imposter. Jack agreed something was off and insisted they contact Chance (Conner Floyd). Traci worried that if she was wrong, Alan would never forgive her, but Jack was convinced she wasn’t mistaken.
