The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, December 12, 2023, brings Jill and Mamie clashing before they’ve even had time to start working against their common enemy.

Also in this episode, Chelsea called out Billy on jonesing for a win. Jack convinced Ashley to sell to Tucker. Diane got Kyle to update her on working as a double agent. Tucker tried to woo Audra. Now, let’s dig deeper into what happened.
Missteps And Arguments
At Society, Jill (Jess Walton) met with Devon (Bryton James) and Nate (Sean Dominic). She updated Nate on Lily needing a leave of absence because Mattie lost her mentor in the wildfire.
Mamie (Veronic Redd) walked in, and she made a big deal about not being invited to the Chancellor-Winters meeting. Jill told her she wasn’t welcome, but Mamie declared she was staying. Mamie and Jill kept lobbing bombs at each other, and Devon tried to play peacemaker while Nate stayed neutral. Devon ultimately told Jill they needed Mamie’s help.

After Nate and Devon left, Mamie yelled at Jill over their teaming up against Tucker. However, Jill let Mamie know in no uncertain terms that she was not experienced enough to deal with a company in crisis. Not surprisingly, Mamie disagreed. Jill wanted to know how much money Mamie wanted to get out of Chancellor-Winters, and Mamie said she couldn’t be bought. Both women wanted the other out of the company.
Billy (Jason Thompson) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) met up on the patio at Crimson Lights. He updated her about the family’s new plan for how to handle Tucker. Billy seemed excited about the upcoming action, and Chelsea worried about who was minding the day-to-day at Jabot. She worried Billy was jonesing for a payoff, and she reminded him.
At first, Billy didn’t want to believe it, but he stopped when he realized he was doing precisely what Chelsea said. He thanked her for holding him accountable. Talk turned to Christmas presents, and Billy admitted he had everything he wanted in Chelsea.

Double Agents
At the Abbott mansion, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Jack (Peter Bergman) talked about all things Tucker and Ashley’s company. He worried about Tucker being in her life, and she admitted she would have a connection to him through Dominic, but only once a year (or so). Ultimately, Jack wanted to ensure that Tucker was thoroughly beaten, and Ashley agreed to sell her half of the company.
In a suite at the GCAC, Tucker (Trevor St. John) and Audra (Zulkeyka Silver) met. He tried to discuss Kyle and did his best to woo her, but Audra wanted to talk about their future. In the middle of his seduction talk, Tucker got a text from Ashley wanting to meet. Audra wanted more details on Tucker’s overall plan, but he played coy and left to meet Ashley.
Diane (Susan Walters) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) met at the GCAC. She wanted to talk to him about his being a double agent (refresh your memory on that here). Kyle insisted he had everything under control, but he let her know that neither Audra nor Tucker had given much information about what they were doing.
Family Ties
Ashley and Tucker ran into Diane and Kyle on their way into the GCAC. Tucker snarked at Kyle and Diane. He asked them to pass along a message to Jack — that he was not interested in Jabot and had a new purpose in life. After Ashley and Tucker walked away, Kyle wondered about Ashley’s alliances.
Ashley and Tucker got a table, and she got right to business. She told him that she was ready to sell, but he couldn’t quite pin down her angle. Ashley insisted that she had no angle, so he called her out on being so mercurial. She let him know she’d make him pay to get her shares. Ashley walked out, greeting Audra as the younger woman came in.
At home, Kyle and Diane updated Jack on their breakfast. Jack admitted that Ashley wasn’t quite easy to read.
