The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, January 31, reveals that Daniel struggles to forgive Sharon after he learns the truth. Plus, Claire gives Kyle the lowdown on what happened with Jordan and Ian while Chelsea and Adam move into the old ranch house, and Nick isn’t thrilled.
What Happened Today On The Young and the Restless?
Victoria (Amelia Heinle) returned to the tack house and informed Claire (Hayley Erin) that Victor’s (Eric Braeden) surgery had gone well. The bullet had passed straight through, and he would recover. They were safe now.
Kyle (Michael Mealor) showed up, and Claire told him the night had been horrible. Victoria left her to explain. Claire assured Kyle she was fine physically, but Jordan (Colleen Zenk) had come after her again.
Kyle panicked about Harrison (Redding Munsell), but she reassured him that he was safe. She then revealed that Ian (Ray Wise) and Jordan had teamed up against her and Mariah (Camryn Grimes). However, she told him that both Jordan and Ian were dead. She also explained how Victor had saved Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and was shot in the process, but he would recover. Kyle was stunned that all of this had happened without his knowledge.

Claire said she still worried that Jordan wasn’t truly gone, despite seeing her die. Kyle asked about the poison, and she explained how she had manipulated Jordan. He was impressed, noting she sounded just like Victor. She appreciated his support and asked him to hold her. Kyle made Claire tea. Claire, Victoria, and Nikki had decided to let things be, and Kyle respected that. They toasted to Jordan’s demise.
The Truth
At Crimson Lights, Nick (Joshua Morrow) told Sharon (Sharon Case) that Victor had made it through surgery. Sharon believed Mariah would thrive despite Ian’s past influence. Michael (Christian Le Blanc) arrived with good news—Chance’s (Conner Floyd) report and hypnosis sessions had led to the murder charges against Sharon being dropped.
Daniel (Michael Graziadei) walked in, demanding answers. They explained Ian had confessed to killing Heather (Vail Bloom), and now he and Jordan were dead. Sharon apologized for her role. Daniel struggled to process the news. He felt that Heather had been collateral damage in Sharon’s ordeal. Daniel still couldn’t forgive her, even though Sharon had been drugged.
Nick said Heather deserved justice, and Ian and Jordan’s deaths were a step toward it. Daniel wasn’t ready to release his anger but assured Nick he wouldn’t lash out at Sharon. Half of him still wished for an alternate reality where Heather was alive. After Nick left, Sharon said she hoped Daniel and Lucy (Lily Brooks O’Briant) would one day forgive her.
Michael returned, confirming that Sharon was legally free. Sharon thanked him for his support, and he urged her to focus on healing. However, she worried about Daniel. Michael doubted that true closure ever happened in such cases.
Meanwhile, Daniel sat in the park, mourning Heather. He felt lost without her, and he worried that he couldn’t raise Lucy alone. His world was shattered, and the nightmare never ended.
Home Sweet Home
At the Newman ranch, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) marveled that she and Adam (Mark Grossman) were moving into Victor’s domain. Looking at the Newman crest, he reflected on inheriting the legacy. Chelsea realized he was still processing Victor’s near-death experience, but he was grateful Victor survived.
Nick arrived, questioning Chelsea’s move. She clarified that she and Adam weren’t rekindling their romance—this was about Connor (Judah Mackey). Nick didn’t buy it but let it go.
On the way to the hospital, Nick and Adam talked about Victor. Adam wondered what would happen when Victor was gone. He felt that the family would fall apart. Nick countered that Adam’s place in the family depended on his choices, which wouldn’t change.
