The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, January 28, reveals that Ian learns Jordan is dead, and he threatens Victor with a gun. Plus, Mariah frantically tries to reach Tessa while Billy and Sally plan for the future.
What Happened Today On The Young and the Restless?
Ian (Ray Wise) showed up at the motel room, intending to reconcile with Jordan. However, he found Michael (Christian Le Blanc) instead. Michael told Ian that Jordan (Colleen Zenk) had taken her own life and demanded Ian accompany him to Victor’s (Eric Braeden). Ian denied knowing Jordan. Victor’s security guard enforced the demand.
At Sharon’s, Mariah (Camryn Grimes) blamed herself for Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) and Aria’s disappearance. Nick (Joshua Morrow) showed up, and she told him she couldn’t find Tessa and their daughter. She vowed to destroy Ian and clung to the hope that Tessa and Aria would return safely. Sharon reassured her that Tessa would protect Aria, but Mariah couldn’t shake her guilt. She resolved to get revenge.
At the ranch, Victor told Ian to confess his crimes. Michael had a confession all written up, saying Ian had framed Sharon (Sharon Case) for Heather’s (Vail Bloom) murder, but Ian refused to sign it. Victor said it was time for Ian to die, but Nick ran in, telling them that Ian had Tessa and Aria. Ian denied it. As the guard moved toward Ian, he grabbed a guard’s gun, declaring he’d get them.

Next Steps
Billy (Jason Thompson) and Sally (Courtney Hope) relaxed at Billy’s new place, sipping champagne. He was amazed at her warm, comfortable design, admitting he had initially worried.
They kissed, and Sally asked about his next career move. Billy said he wanted to build something meaningful but wasn’t sure what. Reflecting on his past ventures, he realized they had always been someone else’s vision. Chancellor, in particular, had never felt like his. Sally helped him see what he truly wanted instead of just acting out of spite.
Billy admitted he had been motivated by revenge, but now he felt he was headed in the right direction. Sally wondered if he had truly recovered from his anger, and Billy acknowledged that time would tell. He also mentioned he hadn’t heard from Jill (Jess Walton) since she sold Chancellor to Victor (Eric Braeden).
Determined to make better choices, Billy brainstormed ideas with Sally. She reminded him of what had brought him joy, including his work on ChanceComm and podcasts. Sticking it to Adam and Victor also appealed to him. Sally said she held no grudges against her ex, and she wanted to focus on Billy’s happiness. They kissed again, and Sally found his newfound confidence sexy. After some adult time, Billy texted Jill, asking to talk.
