The Young and the Restless recap for Wednesday, January 22, sees Claire’s plan backfire. Plus, Nick and Chance realize Jordan is involved with Ian, and Sharon struggles to escape.
What Happened On The Young and the Restless Today?
Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Chance (Conner Floyd) gathered evidence at a motel. Nick learned that a blonde woman with glasses had been seen near the room but managed to escape. Chance had already digitized fingerprints from a glass and sent them for analysis. Nick suspected the woman might be the same person who ran Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) off the road. They were shocked to discover that the prints belonged to Jordan (Colleen Zenk), who had escaped prison.
Meanwhile, in the sewer, Sharon (Sharon Case) had hallucinations of Nick urging her to fight for survival. She struggled to move, and her vision of Nick motivated her to persevere despite her dire situation.

Shocking Plan
At the ranch, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) were shocked to learn that Claire (Hayley Erin) had convinced Jordan to kill Victoria. Claire explained her plan to make the murder look accidental and take the inheritance, leaving Nikki and Victoria appalled.
Jordan called Claire because Nick and Chance had searched the motel room. She suspected that Claire had betrayed her. Claire denied it and proposed hiding Jordan at the ranch, and Jordan reluctantly accepted. Nikki and Victoria were horrified. They debated about involving Nick and Chance. Victoria struggled with the moral implications, while Nikki admitted a part of her wanted to see Jordan gone for good.
Action
Claire met Jordan at the park. Jordan, however, doubted Claire’s intentions after the police discovered her prints. Claire convinced Jordan to trust her despite their tension and snuck her past security at the ranch. Claire promised Jordan safety and offered to make tea. She tried to get details about Jordan, what Jordan had done, and where Ian (Ray Wise) was.
Jordan admitted that Ian had killed Heather (Vail Bloom) and planned to use Sharon’s grief to manipulate Mariah (Camryn Grimes). She claimed to have kept Sharon as an “insurance policy,” refusing to reveal Sharon’s location.
As Jordan attempted to drink her tea, Claire suddenly yelled, “Stop!” This raised Jordan’s suspicions.
