The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, January 10, Nikki teeters on the edge over Ian as a mysterious woman reminds Claire of Jordan. Plus, Kyle surprises his parents by apologizing, and Daniel turns down Danny’s offer of getting out of Genoa City.
What Happened Today On Young and the Restless?
At Chancellor, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) was frazzled, so Claire asked her what was going on. Nikki revealed Ian (Ray Wise) was in town and warned Claire about his manipulative and criminal history. She told her granddaughter about her own traumatic experiences with Ian and expressed her desperation for him to be gone. After, Nikki complimented Claire (Hayley Erin) on her work and sent her to get coffee at Crimson Lights.
At Crimson Lights, Esther (Kate Linder) worried about Sharon’s disappearance and left a message for her. A disguised Jordan showed up and subtly probed Esther about Sharon and the police search.
Jordan (Colleen Zenk) sat on the patio, sneering at photos of Claire and Kyle (Michael Mealor) on her phone. Jordan’s presence triggered Claire when she showed up, but Jordan left before Claire could confront her. Disoriented, Claire told Esther about her unease, linking it to her aunt Jordan.
Back at Chancellor, Claire still rattled, returned to Nikki’s office. She admitted the way a woman at Crimson Lights ordered tea reminded her of Jordan. Nikki reassured Claire that she wouldn’t have to face Jordan again.
Meanwhile, back in her motel room, Jordan lamented her relationship with Claire and said she distrusted Ian. Determined to take control, Jordan resolved to move forward with her plans alone.
All In The Past
Jack (Peter Bergman) and Kyle shared breakfast at the Abbott mansion. As they ate, Kyle told Jack he was happy about returning to Jabot and acknowledged how close he came to ruining his life. Jack was relieved to see his son in a good place. Kyle apologized for stealing a product from Jabot, and Jack forgave him.
Diane (Susan Walters) joined the conversation and admitted she had considered legal action against Kyle but only to make him feel the gravity of his actions. Kyle also apologized to Diane, and the family agreed to leave the past behind and focus on the future.
Diane brought up Kyle’s growing relationship with Claire. She advised Kyle to tell Harrison (Redding Munsell) about it. Kyle promised to handle the situation carefully and decided to address it sooner rather than later. Jack and Diane supported him.
After Kyle left, Jack and Diane discussed Claire. Jack approved of her, but Diane worried about Claire’s connection to Victor. Jack reassured Diane and urged her to stay positive.
No Way Forward
At Society, Danny (Michael Damian) and Daniel (Michael Graziadei) discussed Sharon’s (Sharon Case) disappearance. Danny suggested Daniel and Lucy (Lily Brooks O’Briant) join him on tour, but Daniel declined. Danny admired Daniel’s dedication as a father and expressed pride in him before leaving.
Meanwhile, Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) told Abby (Melissa Ordway) about Sharon, and she mentioned Ian’s suspicious involvement. When Ian showed up at Society, Abby confronted him and banned him from her restaurant.
