What Happened Today On The Young and the Restless?

At Nate’s (Sean Dominic), Amy (Valarie Pettiford) thanked him for inviting her back and reflected on how things could have been different. Audra (Zuleyka Silver) reassured her that Damian (Jermaine Rivers) just needed time, but Amy feared she had scared him off.

She recalled how he had shut down after losing his father, something she had never seen before. Amy couldn’t bear losing him again. Audra encouraged her, reminding her that Damian was once close to her. Talking about him, Amy reminisced about how he had loved a stray cat in their neighborhood.

They named the cat Figaro and tried to keep him a secret from her husband, but one night, while they watched TV, Figaro appeared in the living room and jumped into Jackson’s lap. From that moment on, Jackson and Figaro were inseparable. When the cat had to be put down, Jackson sobbed. Amy choked up, missing her son. Nate vowed to help her see him again, believing Damian would return out of curiosity.

Meanwhile, at the lookout, Holden (Nathan Owens) admitted to the real Damian that he couldn’t keep up the ruse much longer. If he met Nate and Amy, they would realize he wasn’t Damian. But Damian smirked, saying, “Not necessarily.” He instructed Holden to ensure Amy didn’t see him, as he wanted to uncover Nate’s true intentions. He suspected there was more to this than just a reunion.

Holden received a text about Nate. Holden learned that before Nate became an executive, he had been a surgeon. Damian said that Nate’s mother was also a doctor. Holden discovered that Amy had worked for Nate’s father before Damian was born. Damian realized she had never spoken about her past. They agreed this must be the connection to Nate. Holden called Nate to investigate further.

Romance

Sally (Courtney Hope) stopped working when Billy (Jason Thompson) arrived home with takeout. She was surprised he wanted to work with Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) on his media venture and questioned if it was a good idea. Billy defended Phyllis, calling her business-savvy and crediting her for supporting him when no one else did.

Sally reminded Billy that she had also been there for him. He agreed but clarified that Phyllis had been there for him in business. They kissed, and she teased him about working with the volatile Phyllis. Billy believed that two strong personalities could make a good team. As they ate, Sally laughed at her fortune cookie, which predicted business success. She joked about adding “in bed” to the fortune, and they shared another kiss.

Confrontation

At Crimson Lights, Sharon (Sharon Case) and Phyllis had a tense exchange. Phyllis hadn’t expected Sharon back at work so soon and reminded her that recent developments didn’t absolve her. Sharon told her that Ian had confessed to killing Heather, but Phyllis didn’t buy it. She suspected Chance (Conner Floyd) and Michael (Christian Le Blanc) had the charges dropped, but Sharon said it was the DA’s call. Sharon revealed she had been drugged and heard Cameron’s voice urging her to kill Phyllis, but Phyllis accused Sharon of being manipulative.

Phyllis didn’t want Sharon’s apologies. She refused to forgive her and doubted Sharon truly understood her pain. When Nick (Joshua Morrow) showed up, he told them that Victor was out of the hospital. Phyllis blamed Sharon for Heather’s death, but Nick insisted Ian was responsible. After Phyllis left, Nick apologized for her behavior. Sharon understood but doubted Phyllis would ever move on.

Later, Phyllis showed up at Billy’s. Sally wasn’t happy, but Phyllis stayed. When Phyllis saw the Chinese food, she casually helped herself, annoying Sally. Phyllis admitted Billy would have to work hard to convince her and Daniel (Michael Graziadei) to collaborate. Billy suggested scheduling a time, but Sally conveniently had a meeting to attend. After she left, Phyllis commented on how much she liked Billy’s place. He told her it was all Sally’s doing. She praised his past work with Daniel.
