The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, February 18, reveals that Diane leaves Jack stunned with her plans for the Abbott mansion, but of course, it was a joke. Plus, Victor orders Michael to move on Jabot and tries to interfere in Claire and Kyle’s relationship.
What Happened on The Young and the Restless?
Jack (Peter Bergman) and Diane (Susan Walters) enjoyed the evening at the jazz club, where she told him they needed the getaway to escape their problems. He remained uneasy about her renovation plans for the house, but she tried to distract him with a kiss.
Diane had been reviewing Jabot’s archives and proposed relaunching old products under “Jabot Classic” to attract new and existing customers. Jack was still upset about the house plans. Diane assured him he would love the results, but he worried the renovation was a mistake. She urged him to relax and enjoy the evening, pulling him onto the dance floor.
Afterward, Jack admitted he liked her Jabot Classic idea and believed it would be successful, which excited her. Of course, Jack still worried that Victor (Eric Braeden) could cause trouble for Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Claire (Hayley Erin). They danced again before Diane playfully teased him about the renovation. Later, while they were in bed, Diane revealed a major change—she wanted to install a revolving front door so Harrison (Redding Munsell) could play in it. Jack guessed she was joking and promised to stop worrying.

Loyalty Test
Meanwhile, at the ranch, Michael (Christia Le Blanc) met with Victor, who appreciated his loyalty. Victor wanted to focus on taking down Jack through Jabot. Michael confirmed their spies at Glissade were still in place. Victor insisted Jack and his family had not suffered enough and ordered Michael to uncover Jabot’s plans.
Claire interrupted them, reminding Victor about dinner. She asked her grandfather not to grill Kyle too harshly. He gave a noncommittal response, and she laughed nervously.
At Society, Kyle ran into Summer (Allison Lanier). She invited him to dinner, but he had plans with Claire and Victor. Summer felt bad that he had to work so hard for Victor’s approval.
After Kyle left, Daniel (Michael Graziadei) arrived and noticed Summer staring after him. She confided that Kyle was trying to win over Victor. Summer insisted she was only concerned about Victor’s treatment of Kyle. Daniel teased that she was acting like their mother, which irritated her.
Daniel told Summer that he had accepted Billy’s (Jason Thompson) job offer and felt optimistic about the change. Summer was happy for him, and he mentioned Lucy (Lily Brooks O’Briant) was adjusting well.
Claire and Victor showed up at Society and greeted Daniel and Summer before heading to meet Kyle. Victor made it clear that Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) was not part of their discussion.
Victor told Kyle he knew about his relationship with Claire and was wary of the Abbott family’s instability. Kyle assured him he had strong feelings for Claire and would be with her regardless of his approval. Victor warned him not to hurt her like he had hurt Summer.
Despite Claire’s protests, Victor believed trouble was brewing within the Abbott family. Kyle and Claire reaffirmed their feelings, and Victor knew that nothing he said would change their decision.
