The Young and the Restless recap for Wednesday, February 12 bring a heart to heart for Summer and Claire over Victor as Sharon realizes it will take time for people to forgive her for what happened. Meanwhile, Billy and Sally enjoy Paris as Phyllis works to disrupt their time together with news of Daniel accepting Billy’s job offer.
What Happened On The Young and the Restless?
Summer (Allison Lanier) walked into Crimson Lights and ordered an oat milk latte and a muffin from Sharon (Sharon Case). Sharon mentioned she’d been exonerated, but she assumed Summer still resented her for framing Daniel (Michael Graziadei). Summer acknowledged that everyone wanted to move on, but Sharon wondered if there was anything she could say to make things better. When she continued talking, Summer told her it wasn’t enough.
Nick (Joshua Morrow) arrived and got between them. Summer assured her father she wasn’t losing it on Sharon. She understood things had happened and was relieved Sharon was okay, especially for Faith (Reylynn Caster) and Nick’s sake. However, she couldn’t ignore that Sharon had lied and framed Daniel.
Sharon struggled to forgive herself. Nick urged Summer to be understanding, insisting that Sharon wasn’t responsible. He was sure Summer’s compassion would eventually lead her to the same conclusion. Summer refused to be rushed, so Sharon apologized again and left.
Summer sat down and looked at pictures of Harrison’s (Redding Munsell) diorama. Claire (Hayley Erin) arrived, and they discussed how happy it had made Harrison. Summer apologized for ruining Claire’s dinner plans with Kyle (Michael Mealor), but Claire explained she was trying to mend things between Kyle and Victor (Eric Braeden). Summer wished her luck. As they talked, Claire wondered about Victor’s hatred for the Abbotts.

Family Ties
Meanwhile, on the patio, Sharon told Nick hurt to hear how much Summer resented her. Nick thought Summer was taking out her anger at Jordan (Colleen Zenk) and Ian (Ray Wise) on her. Sharon hoped that, one day, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), Daniel, Lucy (Lily Brooks O’Briant), and Summer wouldn’t despise her. She wondered how she could make up for things, and Nick assured her she was already paying enough. Eventually, time would heal things. He suggested they get breakfast. On their way out, Nick checked in on Summer before leaving with Sharon.
Claire asked Summer about the Abbott-Newman feud. Summer admitted that Kyle was caught in the middle. She admitted that Victor had never tried to warn her away from Kyle. In fact, Victor had fully accepted him once Harrison came into the picture. She believed Kyle’s relationship with Claire was simply a matter of timing. Summer advised Claire not to push too hard, letting her know that Kyle thought winning over Victor would be an uphill battle. Claire believed it was worth it.
At Society, Phyllis joined Daniel and immediately asked him about his decision about the job. Before he could answer, she told him that she couldn’t handle bad news. She clapped in excitement, when he admitted he’d accepted Billy’s (Jason Thompson) offer. Phylis wanted to call Billy, but Daniel reminded her he was in Paris with Sally (Courtney Hope). She insisted on calling anyway.

The City of Love
In Paris, Billy and Sally arrived at Ashley’s (Eileen Davidson) apartment. Billy felt that his sister had given him the place out of pity, but he was done feeling sorry for himself. They decided to enjoy their time together, even throwing food at each other. When Phyllis called, Billy chose to ignore it.
Back at Society, Phyllis left Billy a voicemail . Daniel warned her that Billy and Sally were on a romantic getaway. Daniel questioned her motives in trying to interrupt. She said she disliked Sally. Daniel pointed out that Summer had moved past her issues with Sally, but Phyllis admitted she wasn’t as forgiving.
Daniel asked if Phyllis had romantic feelings for Billy. She claimed said no and that she just wanted Billy to be distraction-free. Changing the subject, Daniel mentioned wanting to pay tribute to Heather (Vail Bloom) in his new role, recalling small details about her that still hurt to remember.
Nick and Sharon walked in, and Phyllis made a snide remark about checking Sharon’s pancakes for PCP. They sat at another table, with Sharon said that people hating her was part of her penance. Meanwhile, Phyllis promised Daniel she wouldn’t be vengeful, but they decided to leave before she lost her temper.
Nick and Sharon laughed about old times, and he enjoyed seeing her smile.
Back in Paris, Billy and Sally returned to the apartment after getting caught in the rain. They decided to stay in, kissing as they stripped off their wet clothes and fell into bed. As they lay together, they reflected on how magical it was to make love after a rainstorm in Paris. Their passion reignited, but Billy’s phone kept buzzing—Phyllis wouldn’t stop calling.
