What Happened On The Young and the Restless?

Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) met at Society for a business meeting. Nick appreciated the chance to focus on work rather than dealing with chaos. Their conversation shifted to Victor (Eric Braeden) being shot. Nick thought their dad had years left, but Victoria wasn’t sure. She worried about Victor’s state of mind. Nick reassured her that their father was just reflecting on life. Victoria struggled with the idea of losing their parents. He reminded her that it was inevitable and urged her to cherish their time together.

They discussed Faith’s (Reylynn Caster) resilience, and Nick said he was proud of Faith’s strength. He also admired Sharon’s (Sharon Case) recovery. He hoped she was genuinely healing and not just masking more serious struggles. Nick said that Sharon was back in therapy and off the tainted medication. Nick hated what Ian (Ray Wise) and Jordan (Colleen Zenk) had put them through. He hoped they were suffering for their actions, and Victoria agreed.

Family Matters

At Crimson Lights, Harrison (Redding Munsell) enjoyed a snack with Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Summer (Allison Lanier. He talked about his upcoming diorama project. Summer suggested working on together that night if Kyle didn’t have other plans. Kyle assured her he was free. Harrison wanted it to show dining in a dining room, which Kyle thought would make Jack (Peter Bergman) happy. Things got awkward when Harrison said he hoped his mother would join them for dinner more often.

After Harrison left to get a treat for Mrs. Martinez, Summer asked Kyle if she had overstepped by suggesting dinner. Kyle admitted he had plans with Claire (Hayley Erin) and Victor but wasn’t opposed to skipping out on them. Summer was surprised Kyle wanted Victor’s approval because they hadn’t needed it.

Kyle explained that Victor’s opinion of him had changed, but he and Claire were happy together. He asked Summer if that was a problem, but she assured him it wasn’t and wished him happiness. Kyle told her he felt excited about his future with Claire, but he didn’t mean it as an insult to Summer. Harrison returned with a cupcake.

Butting Heads

At the new ranch, Claire visited Victor. Victor acknowledged Claire’s good performance at work. When she asked how he was doing, Victor assured her he would be back to training soon. She invited him to dinner, but he hesitated when he realized Kyle would be there. Victor refused to condone their relationship. However, he admired Claire’s persistence. He called Kyle weak and undeserving. Claire defended Kyle and insisted that he cared for her. Victor dismissed Claire’s feelings as romantic idealism. He distrusted Jack’s family. She reminded Victor that he had contributed to Kyle’s past betrayals.

Later, Claire talked to Kyle, who canceled dinner to help Harrison with his art project. She suggested rescheduling even though Victor wasn’t thrilled by he idea. Meanwhile, Harrison was happy his parents were getting along.

Back at the ranch, Claire told Victor he was off the hook for dinner. Victor warned her that Kyle would always prioritize Summer and Harrison. Claire insisted Kyle made her feel safe. Summer showed to check on Victor, apologizing to Claire for disrupting her plans. Claire remained determined to change Victor’s mind.

Nick showed up at the ranch and found Summer with Victor. He wondered if Victor was encouraging her to reunite with Kyle.

Denial

At the old ranch house, Adam (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) joked about Connor (Judah Mackey) eating his jalapeño lime chips. Then, Chelsea revealed she was the one who ate them. As they teased each other, Sharon showed up, and things got awkward.

Sharon said she was trying to be normal and gave them a quilted throw. Chelsea said that she and Adam were not a couple. Sharon reassured them she wasn’t being nosy but she pointed out that they had reunited before. Chelsea insisted history wouldn’t repeat itself this time around.

Sharon said she was grateful for her therapy and support system, especially Nick. Adam was amused by Sharon’s enthusiasm, and after she left, he said that she seemed to be doing well. However, Chelsea suspected Sharon doubted that they weren’t a couple. Adam warned her that people would keep making assumptions. Adam wondered if Sharon’s admiration for Nick meant she was developing feelings.
